New theatre at private hospital opened by posh manager anfd
team
Barry Fry,
Director of PUFC and members of the POSH Team opened the
Braithwaite Suite, the new third theatre and day case facility, at
Fitzwilliam Hospital, South Bretton, Peterborough.
The Hospital has developed a close working relationship with the
POSH team providing a sports injury service and expert support from
Orthopaedic Consultants, who are part of its Orthopaedic Centre of
Excellence.
Fitzwilliam Hospital opened 26 years ago with investment from
local consultants and, with the current £800,000 expansion, the
hospital has three theatres, all with general anaesthetic
facilities and two with ultra clean, air quality for Orthopaedic
work.
The opening formed part of the Hospital's plan to increase
inpatient admissions to 7000 by 2010. The new facility offers a
walk-in walk-out service for short staying patients.
James Beech, Regional Director, Midlands added: We work closely
with the POSH players and believe in offering the best service to
rapidly respond to their needs and hope to support their continued
run of the season.
Future investment plans include extended car parking facilities,
reception area and a new diagnostic department.
Fitzwilliam Hospital treatments are available to Privately
Insured, Self Paying and National Health Patients through patient
Choice. The VIVE Lifecare brand, offering Cosmetic, Health
Screening and Laser Treatment, is also available.
