Oral and Facial clinic launched in Bodmin
Bodmin NHS Treatment Centre, in Cornwall, are offering a new
Oral and Facial clinic and launched the service on Australia Day,
in honour of Ramsay’s Aussie roots. Mr Charles Lansley,
Maxillo-Facial surgeon, will perform day case procedures including
removal of impacted/buried teeth/roots, drainage of infections and
biopsies of cysts in the mouth or on the face.
Bodmin Treatment Centre has gone from strength to strength since
opening in December 2006. The dedicated team are proud of the
hospital’s short waiting times, high patient satisfaction levels
and excellent infection control record.
The Consultants at Bodmin perform endoscopy, general surgery,
dermatology, ophthalmology and gynaecology for NHS patients,
through Patient Choice. There is also a private aesthetic
treatments department, specialising in laser hair removal and the
reduction of facial lines and wrinkles.
Nine Ramsay treatment centres were developed as part of a five
year contract with the Department of Health, to provide additional
capacity in the NHS. The new hospitals have become part of the NHS
landscape in their local communities, and Ramsay is currently in
discussion with the Department on the future of these facilities
beyond their current contracts.
