Ramsay supports patient power!
Ramsay Health Care runs regular Patient Satisfaction Surveys in
our hospitals to help constantly improve our customer service.
Managed by independent specialists The Leadership Factor, our
overall patient satisfaction index is currently at an exceptionally
high level of 91.3%.
A growing trend amongst businesses is to include customer
testimonials on websites, to help potential clients make an
informed decision. This trend is also growing within healthcare.
The NHS Choices website, www.nhs.uk, has been allowing NHS patients
to review their hospital experiences for some time.
Ramsay Health Care supports this ‘patient power’ initiative, and
welcomes feedback from patients who have experienced a Ramsay
facility. By logging comments on the NHS Choices site, Ramsay NHS
patients can help our hospitals ensure we provide a good service.
Just as importantly, this helps to support Patient Choice by
providing potential patients with an impartial, first-hand account
of their experience.
Recently Pinehill Hospital, in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, has been
encouraging patients to give testimonials on a local website too.
‘The Best of Hitchin’, at www.thebestof.co.uk/local/hitchin,
provides information and reviews of local organisations, and
getting involved in the site as had some fantastic results.
Sarah Hurry, Marketing Coordinator at Pinehill, explains: “This
kind of personal feedback is a powerful tool in the electronic age
of social networking and has real value not only as an advertising
medium but for staff motivation. Being thanked so publicly for
doing a good job puts a smile on anyone’s face.”
