Surgery is provided by Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeons who hold permanent NHS consultant posts at both the Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary and Stafford General Hospital. Both surgeons have extensive experience in Laser refractive surgery, both LASIK, LASEK etc and are involved in the management of complex eye problems. They are also involved in teaching surgical procedures and have presented papers in many national and international meetings.
The surgeons, Mr. B. Manoj and Mr. B. Ilango have a wide area of expertise in intraocular eye surgery. Hence we are able to provide most modalities of refractive surgery, both laser and lens based surgery to meet the requirements of the individual patient.

In many cheaper centres, all the pre-operative assessment and planning is performed by a non-medical technician. The patient is seen by the operating surgeon only on the day of surgery. After this all post-operative care is delegated to non-medical staff.
Almost all the famous high street chains do not have in-patient facilities for the management of complications.
