Orwell Cardiothoracic Private Patient Unit
The Orwell Cardiothoracic Private Patient Unit is a leading
private patient facility situated within the Essex Cardiothoracic
Centre located at Basildon University Hospital.This private unit is
a dedicated facility managed and staffed by Ramsay Health Care. The
unit opened in May 2008, the unit has eight single rooms with
ensuite facilties.
The unit is staffed with dedicated Ramsay Health Care staff and
offers a high level of hotel services above the standard NHS
provision.
The unit also has access to specialist services within the main
hospital and outpatient consulting facilities.
All private patients have full access to the specialist
theatres, cardiothoracic intensive care units and diagnostic
facilities on site. This allows ‘The Best of Both Worlds’
experience of private
healthcare in an NHS facility providing the comfort of private
care with the clinical backup of a large acute hospital.
We aim to be able to offer all the
tests and outpatient appointments you require at a single location
in as few appointments as possible.
Nursing records will be kept in hard
copy and electronically
and this can be made accessible for
you where ever you may choose in the future.
