Springfield Hospital is one of Essex's leading private hospitals
and is situated in the semi-rural location on the outskirts of
Chelmsford. The hospital opened in 1987 and currently has 58
bedrooms all with en-suite facilities.

theatres with ultra clean air technology are particularly suitable
for orthopaedic procedures offered such as arthroscopy, hip and
knee replacement. The hospital has also recently installed a

Hospital facilities
Direct dial telephone and radio are available in all rooms for
your and your visitor's comfort. Meals are served in your room and
comprise a superb selection of dishes, all freshly prepared. Free
car parking and disabled access is also available.
Twin bedded rooms are also available offering ideal
accommodation for parent/ child and co-dependant relatives as well
as four day rooms. In addition, there is a three bedded high
dependency unit.
Consultants have access to 18 private consulting rooms and four
minor treatment rooms for outpatient appointments.
Treatment facilities include an on site physiotherapy department
with chartered physiotherapists and fully equipped gymnasium. An on
site pharmacy registered with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of
Great Britain also provides private prescriptions for outpatients
and inpatients. This department also provides support for the
Breast Care Unit, which offers a holistic approach to the treatment
of breast cancer.
