Fulwood Hall Private Hospital, Preston
Fulwood Hall Hospital was opened in 1986. Ideally located for
access to the North West’s many motorways, the hospital is also
conveniently situated near the thriving city of Preston.
The hospital has recently undergone a
multi-million pound investment in modernising and expanding the
facility for our patients.
We have increased our outpatient accommodation
to 6 consulting rooms, a new treatment room, a pre-assessment unit
for screening and assessing patients prior to surgery as well as
modernising our fully-equipped imaging facility, and building a
brand new physio and sports therapy department including gym.
We have expanded our operating capacity by
building a third theatre and a dedicated endoscopy unit, and
patient accommodation has been improved with the introduction of a
day care facility providing individual, spacious accommodation for
up to twelve patients in a clean, modern, comfortable environment,
designed specifically for day care surgery.
Hospital facilities
There is accommodation for 29 inpatients, in
rooms which have been comfortably furnished to ensure your stay
with us is a pleasant one. All inpatient rooms on the ward have en
suite facilities. Direct dial telephone, TV and radio are available
in all rooms for you and your visitors’ comfort. Meals are served
in your room and comprise a selection of dishes, all freshly
prepared. Free car parking and disabled access is also
available.
In addition we have built a Close Care Unit
which enables us to plan more complex procedures and provide 1 to 1
specialised care.
Our Staff
Our consultants and nursing staff are highly experienced and
have your care and comfort as their highest priority. During and
after treatment you will receive a standard of care which is second
to none and all patients have the reassurance that support in case
of an emergency is available 24 hours/day.
Payment options
The hospital undertakes procedures for the medically insured,
for those that wish to pay directly and for the NHS. The hospital
has direct settlement agreements with all major medical insurance
companies and a ‘Fixed Cost’ scheme for those individuals paying
for themselves.
