Lymphomas
Lymphomas are cancers of the lymphatic system. There are two
main types known as Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma but they
have similar symptoms. These include swollen lymph nodes, (often in
the neck), sweating, unexplained temperatures, and weight
loss.
Tests are likely to include x-rays and blood tests, and a biopsy
where a little of the lymph node is removed under general
anaesthetic.
Treatment can include radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and, in
some cases, bone marrow and stem cell transplants.
