The team
The team consists of the physiotherapy manager and three Senior
Physiotherapists. They are supported by a team of bank staff,
Physiotherapy Assistants and admin support.
Helen Rocca, Physiotherapy Manager BSc, MA, HPC
registered, MCSP
Qualified 1985 from Manchester School of Physiotherapy. Gained
experience as a junior within the teaching hospitals of Manchester
and Salford, prior to specialising in Orthopaedic and
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Moved into the independent sector in
1993 as Physiotherapy Manager.
Obtained MSC in Sports injury and therapy in 1995. Has
experience of working from grassroots to elite athletes across
numerous sports, including Field & Ice hockey, Basketball,
Tennis, Lacrosse, Wrestling, swimming, gymnastics, track and field,
martial arts etc. Has experience of working at multisport events.
Sits on the Physiotherapy committee of the British Olympic
Association.
Katy Dickinson Senior Physiotherapist BSc (Hons), HPC
registered, MCSP
Katy graduated in physiotherapy from Nottingham University
(2000) completing 18 months of general rotations at North
Manchester General Hospital.
She then became a senior and gained experience in
musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics and rehabilitation. Her
specialist interests are women's health/continence and pelvic floor
rehabilitation of which she has 3 years experience both NHS and
private.
Bob Johnson Senior Physiotherapist BSc(Hons), HPC,
registered, MCSP
Bob graduated from the University of Manchester with an honours
degree in Physiotherapy in 2002. He rotated as a junior
physiotherapist in the NHS Royal Oldham Hospital. Bob became a
senior physio in 2004 and specialised in outpatients, currently
working full-time in outpatient physio department in Oaklands and
Renacres. Bob has experience in spinal rehab and manipulation,
acute injuries, sports rehab and post-operative rehab.
Paul Kennedy Senior Physiotherapist BSc(Hons), HPC
registered, MCSP
Qualified from Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 2002 and
started work at Royal Bolton Hospital on general rotations.
Specialised in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy 18
months later as a senior and moved from the NHS to the independent
sector in 2004.
Undertook new 'flexible worker' role within the North West
Cluster, working cross site and helping develop services between
departments. Clinical areas of interest include sports injuries,
shoulder rehabilitation and spinal problems.
