Healthy Weight 18 - 25 
Overweight 25 - 30 
Obese 30 - 35 
Severly Obese 35 - 40

Patients must fulfill the following criteria to be considered for weight loss surgery at Ramsay Health Care UK.

 

  • You have a body mass index of 40kg/m² or more.

  • You have a BMI of between 35kg/m² and 40kg/m² accompanied with a disease that may be improved by the weight loss such as Diabetes or High Blood Pressure.

  • Be aged between 18 and 55

  • You have not be able to reduce weight for more than a year

  • Have been receiving treatment in specialist obesity clinic at a Hospital

  • No problems with the endocrine system

  • No drug dependancy

  • Stable mental health

  • Be ready to comply with a serious, medically supervised program

  • Be fit enough for the anaesthetic and surgery

You have had a full assessment by the specialist and other healthcare professionals involved in your care.
