Mr Housami is a Consultant Urological Surgeon & Stone Service Lead at Aintree University Hospital, Liverpool since March 2016. He has specialist surgical skills in ureteroscopy and laser treatment of stones as well as percutaneous keyhole surgery for kidney stones (PCNL). He completed Urology Specialist Training in the West of Scotland in 2015 followed by an Endourology Fellowship in stones surgery at the Scottish Lithotriptor Centre, Edinburgh. He also visited urology centres in Sri Lanka to refine his skills in percutaneous access for keyhole stone surgery. He also has an interest in bladder outflow obstruction which he stuied as a Research Fellow at the Bristol Urological Institute. His work on non-invasive urodynamics was presented and published internationally. Mr Housami holds a Medical Education qualification from Plymouth University and contributes to urology training in the Northwest region and nationally.
