Mr Shahzad Shafquat is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at West Midlands Hospital who specialises in Micro-incision Cataract surgery, Diabetic Retinopathy and medical retinal disorders (Age related Macular Degeneration, Retinal Vascular Occlusion).

Mr Shahzad was appointed Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley in 2001. He has been Head of Service for past four years as well as Clinical Services Lead, Retina Lead and Diabetic Screening Lead.
Mr S Shafquat qualified from King Edward Medical College, Lahore. He did his post-graduate fellowships and completed the South Thames Ophthalmic Rotation and a Retina Fellowship in Birmingham.
