  • I had a hip replacement done by the exemplary Mr Veitsch 3 days ago. Showing kindness, care, compassion and competence he was exactly what I was hoping for and the reason that I coped with the operation as well as I did. He came to see me 3 times after the operation to check all was well and clearly goes above and beyond in his job. The Anaesthetist, too, was a lovely man who spent a long time talking to me before and after the operation and explained everything in detail to me and my husband. This is the sort of care you dream about! Dedicated nursing staff who managed my post op pain so well, kind, sympathetic physio staff, adminstaff, kitchen staff...all greeted me with a smile...it really does help in potentially stressful situation. Thank you so very much New Hall Hospital!

  • Attended for a minor operation on my arm under general anaesthetic. I had attended prior for several pre op consultations. On every visit staff were always friendly and the hospital immaculately clean. Relevant paperwork sent via post in timely manner and kept informed with a follow up phone call post op. Cannot fault their care.

  • I have had an inital assessment appointment, which included x-rays. I felt respected and treated well by polite and friendly staff. My questions were answered thoughtfully and nothing seemed too much trouble. The hospital is bright, clean and tidy. My whole experience has been positive and much appreciated.

  • I recently underwent surgery for ACL reconstruction and meniscus trimming. Mr Kenan Dehne was the consultant. I was very happy with the care from him, his team, and the hospital in general. I have after only 8 weeks, got a much more stable knee and expect thing to improve further.

  • Attended yesterday 31.03.26, for planned ankle surgery. From the warm welcome, to up until i was discharged home, the care was excellent. A massive thank you to: The two male health care workers, both caring and supportive, when i first arrived and carried out the pre-op assessment, and the other male carer that looked after me whilst in the recovery bay immediately post-surgery. Thankyou to you both. Nurse Angela was behond lovely. Such a professional and caring nurse. The two male anaesthetists were so funny together, and i felt at complete ease and safe in their presence. They explained everything to me fully. Any anxieties that i had held about the surgery, anaesthetic, and recovery was short lived. Not forgetting my Surgeon Mr Trigkilidas, what a kind gentleman, and a fabulous surgeon and professional. I felt extremely safe in his care. I was given my own bay in privacy as part of my recovery to relax watching TV in a comfy recliner with a choice of varied refreshments. I felt very comfortable and safe. The Hospital felt peaceful and was spotlessly clean, again a credit to the team in general, not forgetting housekeeping that clearly do a great job. The experience was a very positive one and if I had to attend again for surgery or treatment, I certainly would not be as anxious as I was prior to me attending. Thank you all so much again that cared for me. You are an amazing team. 👏 ❤️

  • First ever five star rating from me ever, steroid jabs in my back a very small amount of pain basically akin to pin pricks .Faultless were everyone I dealt with, professionalism did not prevent a friendly approach from all and a great attitude,as I was an NHS patient I had expected to get the same treatment naturally as was the case'for those who may have reservations 'left Blakelands happy' free from any pain from steroid and anesthetic injections and six hours ltr no change in that ,nurses ultra pleasant and nice helpful, and all take Thier profession's seriously.

From the moment she was admitted, the staff were very professional and efficient. A special thank you to Dr. Vail Karuppiah, Nurse Francesca and anesthetist. Big thank you to all the team in the operation theatre. You treated her as a priority, not just a number. Thank you for your dedication.

  • This is my 2nd trip to Rowley Hall, previously had a Hernia day surgery. This time ACDF spine surgery, service & care was brilliant from start to finish. Mr Bhalla & his team did a great job during the operation & post op. Abby & Judy & their teams over both shifts supplied amazing care & empathy. The ancillary staff were excellent & I was fed & watered well & the room was kept spotless. Couldn’t fault anything during my stay. Great place to be when you need help & care after an anxious time before & after the operation.
