Went for assessment appointment as an NHS patient following a referral by my optician. Polite reception staff on arrival. Seen quickly. Time spent with the Consultant appointment, no more than functional. I am also not one for small talk, but all felt a bit rushed. Asking me questions that i'd assume were in my notes or in the referral ? Then : We can do something about it or just leave it "? If, yes the success rate of a procedure. Not told why it may or may not beneficial. Then a consent form handed to me to sign and told it will be a 4 month wait (fine) . Think it could have been a better patient experience. Im not precious but i am sensitive to the care of my vision. Perhaps it was just a Friday.......

Brilliant care for a hernia operation. All the nurses (Alex & Joan in aftercare) and doctors were excellent. Kind and calm, ready to answer any questions. My surgery was referred through the NHS but was treated like a private patient. Only took 4 weeks from the initial NHS referral to them for me to have the operation.

I greatly appreciated having carpal tunnel release surgery recently as an NHS patient by Miss Jurga Pikturnaite. Everything was clearly explained and surgery was done efficiently and painlessly under local anaesthetic with great support from other staff during the operation. All staff were welcoming, kind and caring from the lady who took me to my room from Reception, Nurse Arya Remesh-Kumar who looked after me in my room, the Physiotherapist who explained about post-op exercises and the gentleman who kindly brought me a pot of tea and biscuits after the operation. My thanks also to the cleaners who prepared my spacious and comfortable private room and ensuite bathroom to a wonderful standard of cleanliness. I thoroughly recommend my surgeon and the Winfield Hospital for their excellent hand surgery service.

Mr Mark Foster, what an incredible specialist! Fixed my hand in minutes, extremely caring and explained everything perfectly! Whilst my condition was quite trivial, it had been terribly painful and I was overly anxious. He made me feel as though l was the most important patient of the day and I’m sure he does the same with all of his patients, putting those less fortunate than me with complex conditions at ease. Patient care second to none! Thank you so much! Lovely manner.

Fitzwilliam is a lovely hospital, it's so welcoming and every member of staff I interacted with was so friendly and helpful. I've never waited long to be seen, over the phone the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful and I've found the communication very clear and thorough. During my stay the plastics nurses were fantastic, they made me feel at home and took great care of me. The room I stayed in was very nice, the food was lovely and the aftercare was great; I called a couple of times with questions and I received quick helpful responses from all of the team and they were so friendly and easy to talk to. I'm very happy with my overall experience and would definitely choose this hospital in the future.
