  • I recently had an operation at the Woodthorpe. The staff were friendly and helpful, the ward was clean and communications were well organised. Honestly the process was faultless. Its been a few weeks now but I want to give a massive thank you to the nurse looking after me (an East Asian man whose name has slipped my mind) - he really took the time to ease my anxieties. I would recommend the woodthorpe.

  • I had a full knee replacement nearly 4 weeks ago I was very anxious but the medical team made me feel at ease before my operation I just found after my operation I didn’t know how much pain I was in the night was so long because I couldn’t sleep because of the pain but the team were there with pain relief, I thought that somebody from the surgery team would come round to see me before I went home to say how the operation went and I think it should be put on my discharge notes how many clip I had in my knee because I went and had them out 2 weeks after then a week after that I found another one that was under a scab and some glue the rooms and stay and food were lovely .

  • I have had both my bunions operated on at Woodthorpe Hospital under Mr Finney. Both operations were successful and the care I was given was exceptional. My second one was cancelled due to no heating but was rearranged within two weeks. I also had two appointments post operation and never had to wait. Wouldn’t hesitate in going back if ever needed.

  • I had a total hip replacement done by Mr Nitin Badhe in January 2026, on a day when the hospital was incredibly busy. (I was told it was due to a previous problem with the heating which meant some patients had been delayed and then added on the day I was due for my surgery). Despite the much larger volume of patients, all the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Not only clinical staff, but reception, catering, and everyone I interacted with. I especially appreciated the way the anaesthetist explained everything step-by-step and checked in on me during the surgery (which was with spinal anaesthetic). Also, the physiotherapist, Dimple, who patiently answered my many questions. I encountered some problems after returning home and when I phoned the ward, it was reassuring to speak with someone who listened and gave helpful advice, so I felt the support continued even after leaving hospital. Overall, my experience was very positive and I would like to thank all the staff at Woodthorpe Hospital who took such good care of me.

  • Overall very good experience. A bit pricey, but I guess that’s just the cost of private care. It would be good if you accepted American Express payments.

  • Total knee replacement, I cannot thank Dr Shah and his team enough, my experience from start to finish was exceptional. I was greeted at reception and shown to my room. During my stay I was introduced to the care team Stephen (physio very informative and answered my rehabilitation questions professionally) Mary, Ann, Amisha managed my care and tended to my needs and medication throughout my stay being very supportive proffesional and respectful.. John prescribed my pain management and gave me a plan to maximise my pain management. This has been a game changer. His knowledge has certainly helped me being very comfortable on my return home and sticking to the plan is key(I am in day 3 now) and finally April (physio) giving me my exercises for my rehab including strength, stretching and stair procedures! April is very professional, knowledgeable and respectful. Sticking to the rehab advice has been key so far so thank you all for your kindness and support. A credit to Ramsey healthcare at woodlands hospital.

  • Today I underwent meniscus surgery, and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who was involved in this process. The entire team was truly exceptional, showing remarkable professionalism, patience, and care throughout. My heartfelt gratitude goes especially to Dr. Vincent Arts and to the anaesthetist, Dr. John, for the outstanding way in which they treated me and for making me feel safe and supported every step of the way. I am deeply thankful for the compassion and dedication you all showed.
