I have received excellent treatment for a hernia repair from Blakelands Hospital. The reception staff were always helpful and friendly. All the doctors and nurses from initial consultation to the surgical procedure were professional, thorough and caring. I had a minor complication due to a pre-existing condition. This was dealt with excellently. Post surgery nursing care was extremely kind, caring & professional.

This is wonderful team! A huge thank to the anaesthetist for keeping me safe, calm, and completely comfortable before and after my surgery. From admission to discharge, everyone was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive. I felt completely safe and well looked after throughout my entire stay.

Received excellent care during my hip operation.The preparation by ward nurse… followed the anaesthetist and colleague was exceptionally reassuring and eased my concerns.Mr Boden the consultant also helpfully explained procedure and having a morning visit and a chat as I was being prepared was excellent .As my first major op I felt their manner and support extremely helpful.Thank you to all staff.

My experience at the hospital was exceptionally positive. The staff were warm, welcoming, and consistently professional throughout my stay. The private rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with an ensuite, creating an environment that felt more like a high‑quality hotel than a hospital setting. The nursing team were friendly, attentive, and proactive in ensuring I was comfortable and well‑supported at every stage. The physiotherapy team were outstanding, providing clear guidance, tailored exercises, and the encouragement I needed to begin moving safely after surgery. The food options were varied and of a high standard, offering plenty of choice each day. Overall, the facilities were well maintained, and the level of care provided made my stay as smooth and reassuring as possible. The only negative I have is the car park, which is undergoing maintenance at the moment and therefore finding a parking space can be a challenge.

The hospital facilities were excellent throughout my visit. Everything was clean, modern, and very well organised, creating a calm and welcoming environment. The car park was also extremely convenient, with plenty of spaces and easy access to the hospital entrance, which made the whole experience much less stressful. All the staff were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout.
