GP’s can refer directly for diagnostic imaging, with appointments normally available within 72 hours and reported back to the GP within two days.
From routine blood tests to complex histology analysis, we provide a comprehensive range of blood tests and investigations. Our phlebotomy service is available daily, with results sent to the referring clinician. Pathology specimens are tested by CPA accredited laboratories with fast turnaround times; most results can be made available in 24-48 hours.
We offer a wide range of treatments for back problems, from pain management through to complex spinal surgery. We have the specialist consultants and diagnostic equipment to pinpoint the cause of pain and recommend an appropriate intervention including injections, nerve blocks or surgery. In many cases, physiotherapy is also an important part of rehabilitation.
We offer treatment and specialist services to patients of all ages with physical problems caused by illness, accident or ageing including back, neck and shoulder pain, upper and lower limb conditions, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and posture-related problems. The Physiotherapy Department is staffed by professional and experienced Chartered Physiotherapists. Referrals are accepted from consultants and GPs; however self-paying patients may refer themselves for physiotherapy.
We offer a range of medical services for patients requiring respite care. Patients are managed by a consultant who will work closely with the nursing team to ensure the very best care. We can care for patients requiring respiratory care, post-operative rehabilitation, pulmonary services, geriatric services, cardiology and oncology.
Springfield Hospital is an established provider of cancer services including diagnostic tests, surgical treatments, chemotherapy and support services. Multi-disciplinary professional teams work together to pursue the best possible outcome for patients with breast cancer, skin cancer and prostate cancer. We also see patients with lung, colorectal, skin and blood cancers, as well as a few patients with less common cancers. We offer screening for some common cancers and a range of diagnostic tests to support clinicians with their diagnosis.
