Went to the Rivers Hospital for a pre-op assessment. I didn't wait long and had 2 wonderful nurses who put me at ease. One went through what was going to happen before the operation and things I needed to do to prepare and then the other lovely nurse did a few tests. They were both so friendly and efficient and really did their job to such a high standard. I even had an Xray and again the staff were so kind and did a great job. The hospital is very clean and everyone is very helpful and friendly.

From consultation through to post operative care I could not fault the hospital or the colleagues there. Everyone I spoke to was kind, caring and informative, ensuring I knew what was going to happen and when, during every visit. My surgeon, Tomas Kustas was such a wonderful man and showed genuine care for his patients.

What a fabulous caring team, from the moment I entered TVH, til i was discharged. The Receptionists, Nursing staff, Catering team, and to Mr Brock my Consultant, amazing. I felt totally at ease, and well informed at every stage of my hip replacement. The care from everyone, before and after, was outstanding and genuine. Well done, and Thank You x Bill

I underwent a BPH aquablation procedure in March 2026 at Duchy Hospital, Truro followed by an overnight stay, and the care I received was exceptional. From consultants and doctors to nurses, housekeeping, catering and reception, every member of staff was consistently friendly, professional and compassionate. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout, and staff communicated clearly, explained everything thoroughly, and always did exactly what they said they would, when they said they would. The facilities were spotless and maintained to an impressively high standard, which made my stay all the more comfortable. A big thank you to everyone involved. Their kindness and professionalism genuinely made a difference to my experience. I cannot recommend Duchy Hospital and its staff highly enough.

I had a hip replacement done by the exemplary Mr Veitsch 3 days ago. Showing kindness, care, compassion and competence he was exactly what I was hoping for and the reason that I coped with the operation as well as I did. He came to see me 3 times after the operation to check all was well and clearly goes above and beyond in his job. The Anaesthetist, too, was a lovely man who spent a long time talking to me before and after the operation and explained everything in detail to me and my husband. This is the sort of care you dream about! Dedicated nursing staff who managed my post op pain so well, kind, sympathetic physio staff, adminstaff, kitchen staff...all greeted me with a smile...it really does help in potentially stressful situation. Attended for a minor operation on my arm under general anaesthetic. I had attended prior for several pre op consultations. On every visit staff were always friendly and the hospital immaculately clean. Relevant paperwork sent via post in timely manner and kept informed with a follow up phone call post op. Cannot fault their care.

I had a knee replacement at the Duchy, I can't thank Dr. Divekar and all the staff enough, they all went above and beyond for my care. I felt very anxious having the surgery, but everyone of the staff are there to put your mind at rest. I want to say a big thank you to everyone.
