Following the lifting of restrictions by the Government, we would like to reassure all our patients that the way we interact with you will not be changing. All staff and consultants will continue to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing, and we require our patients and visitors to do the same, so that we are all protected.

Niall Power

Operating Department Practitioner, The Rivers Hospital, Sawbridgeworth

Having spent 26 years in the NHS followed by 2 years at a Saudi Armed Forces Hospital, I returned to the UK unsure where I wanted to work. After doing some bank shifts at The Rivers Hospital, I knew that this was the type of working environment that I wanted to be part of. Over the past 4 years, I have taken an active role in the development and progression of the department and have had the opportunity to undertake a wide range of courses which is something that the Ramsay group encourages throughout. I enjoy being part of a team who all have the same objective which is to deliver the best care and feeling of confidence to our patients.

I believe that Ramsay will always be a leading employer because managers really do listen to ideas and recommendations and will act upon them if possible.

Motto: It’s nice to be important but it’s more important to be nice!
