David Winters, Business Development Lead for Hospital Operations

David Winters

Business Development Lead for Hospital Operations

I joined Ramsay Health Care in 2006 following a career that started in the NHS at the age of 18 as a ward clerk on a cancer treatment ward. After a stint as the Regional Business Development Manager for the North West Hospitals, I moved to my first Hospital Director post at Renacres Hospital in 2008 before moving to oversee both Renacres and Euxton Hall Hospitals for a period of 3 years. Following this I consolidated as Hospital Director at Euxton Hall for a number of years before my final move to take over Oaklands Hospital. During this time I have also become one of Ramsay’s Speak Up For Safety accredited trainers, a role which I take very seriously and also believe a programme that adds so much value to our core business values.

In 2019 I then moved over to my now current role as Business Development Lead for Hospital Operations which I have been doing for nearly 12 months. During my time in Ramsay, I have benefited from a wide variety of development and opportunities that have supported my career growth to my new position and I believe that my years as a Hospital Director have really begun to benefit this new role as I can work with senior leaders to not only maximise opportunities but also operationalise them into the business. It is also a good opportunity for me to share some of my experiences with newer Hospital Directors.

Belief: Leave things in a better way than when you received them!
