  • I recently attended Ashtead Hospital, as a day patient, for surgery in the care of Mr Dhia Al-Musawi and his team. From beginning to end the process was near perfect. The hospital has a friendly and calm vibe. It did not feel at all chaotic (as is often the case with hospitals) and, to a person, everyone I had contact with inspired confidence. Having surgery is never a pleasant experience, but I don’t think I could’ve been treated any better. A follow-up call the day after admission from Rachel was, also, both helpful and appreciated.

  • I had an endoscopy on Monday the 20th October at Ashtead. Everyone was polite and caring. My only concern is the receptionist who was a little brusque. The first person who greets you on entering the hospital is the receptionist so a friendly face would help ease the anxiety. I know we all have off days but on reading the reviews I am not the first patient to comment on this.

  • I have just spent 24 hours at Ashstead hospital undergoing surgery. The experience was exceptional with the care always given with warmth, kindness, clarity and expertise - thank you.

  • I found the initial contact at reception less helpful. I felt the staff were a bit dismissive. I had not been sent or seen the hospital patient registration form (although I had completed everything for the consultant). I felt they were a bit blunt and unhelpful. This is unacceptable in a health facility when patients arriving may feel anxious and unfamiliar. Self funding patients also have anxiety around cost - the NHS has let them down and they do have the luxury of company private health schemes.

  • I had total knee replacement surgery here 5 weeks ago (carried out by Mr Kantak) and everyone involved in my treatment was great. A particular mention must go to Needa, Lyn and Tamara who cared for me so well along with Claire on my final day before discharge. Thank you all.
