Prof. Ursell was continually frustrated about the equipment in his room such as equipment switched off and readjusted. On my last visit the cabinet with the eye drops was locked and he had to search for someone with keys to open it and then they brought the wrong keys. On the same day the chair for me to sit on was a typists chair with the back angled so far forward I could not lean against it. There was no time for me to adjust it. As a private patient time is money. If a member of staff closes the room down at night it should be reopened by a member of staff the following morning and put in working order before Prof. Ursell's day begins. The condition of the chair was inexcusable.

Appointments were excellent, short waiting time and efficient on the day. However, on the day of the operation we were asked to arrive by 12 midday and was not operated till gone 4pm which was a long nervous wait of 4 hours. Scheduling of patients with the consultant should be more efficient to ensure less waiting time. I was scheduled to be first on the list but ended up being last!

I have now been to ashtead hospital twice. It is incredibly clean, welcoming and a nice place to be. As per most encounters with the NHS, the staff are friendly and wonderful. My procedure was dealt with efficiently and professionally and the whole experience really could not have been better, and on both occasions. I honestly felt like I was in a private hospital. I could not fault the hospital or the staff here at all.
