I went to Ashtead Hospital for a day care procedure on my back. I received first class treatment from the time I entered the hospital, to the timeI I left. The hospital was spotlessly clean. My bedroom extremely comfortable. The food was excellent and my treatment by all the staff from the Professor to the kitchen porter could not be faulted. Thank you Ashtead Hospital.

My shoulder surgery at Ashtead Hospital was a profoundly positive, safe, warm, and deeply human experience that completely restored my faith in medical care and patient safety. From the moment I was admitted, the entire team—including Mr. Little, Dr. Pathma, Dr. Frans-Asmah, and the dedicated nursing staff—made me feel completely safe, listened to without judgment, and fully respected. I was especially touched by their deep discretion regarding my medical history and past traumas. Special mention goes to nurse Jade, who stayed two hours past her shift to ensure I was completely cared for after witnessing an episode, prompting an immediate, coordinated response from the doctors. The impact on my physical and emotional well-being has been extraordinary. My recovery has been seamless. Mr. Little and Dr. Pathma didn't just restore my arm; they protected my health and well-being every step of the way. All staff doctors, nurses and general staff was super kind and caring. Made me feel safe and comfortable for my first procedure I’ve ever had. They completely eliminated any fear I had going into the surgery. They was friendly and supportive and made me smile and happy even with the fear of the procedure hanging over me. After an intense training and following hiking I was limping and had pain in my knee. Later I had tight muscles for about a month and nothing helped me. Even after a short walk I had pain in my legs and could never get muscles relaxed. I made an appointment with Dr Sally Mirtle, and it was my first ever appointment with a physiotherapist. During 30 mins Sally carefully listened to me, assessed my legs, made a conclusion about my joints that I never considered before. Then she did a quick massage of my legs but surprisingly not where I had pain, and not on that particular leg. How surprised I was when just after this short massage session I could walk back to the station and my legs were light and it was no pain. Sally gave me a workout plan and explained every exercise carefully. What I liked was that she didn't give me many exercises, just a few but very efficient. I had a plan of my hikes and explained to Sally how it is important for me. Because of Sally's plan I managed to do these hikes though not 2 full days but still managed to be prepared for them quickly, and what is the most important, Sally's treatment and workout plan allowed me to be prepared for my first mountaineering training. I was surprised how Sally could see what the problem was, and she knows the biomechanics of legs so well that asked me to do stretching that I would never expect in my case, but it really helped me. I went in for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy under Dr Al-Musawi. I received my appointment within 2 weeks and from pre op assessment, to surgery to aftercare, I cannot fault it. Dr Al-Musawi was very informative and caring. I could not recommend him enough. The surgical team and ward staff were also amazing and I'm so appreciative for all your help whilst I was there.

Not somewhere you'd visit for fun, but if you need private medical treatment, it's reassuring to know you're in capable hands. Nice big, modern waiting area with vending machines if you get peckish. Pro tip, don't forget to input car reg into console at reception. 😊🏥✨

The whole process, from my initial consultation to the procedure and my discharge was as good as I could have hoped it to be. All staff were helpful and communicative and prepped me well for the examination. Dr West was great at keeping me comfortable and informed throughout. The room I was given was spotless and gave me plenty of privacy, did not expect a private room. The staff were honest, informative and checked in promptly after my appointment. A brilliant hospital setting with the staff to match. Thank you

The kindness, politeness, and helpfulness of each and every one of the lovely people who work and care at this hospital is astounding. They are always smiling and ready to help. Yesterday I had umbilical hernia surgery here at Ashtead Hospital, and the care was spectacular not only from the very beginning of the day but also from the three months prior, from the very start, with all the follow-up, tests, and everything related to my surgery. The food they served in my room, which I chose from the menu that morning, was also very good. It's a place that exudes professionalism and cleanliness in every corner. I couldn't be happier to have fallen into such good hands and into such an excellent place for my surgery, which is less traumatic for someone like me who doesn't frequent hospitals and has never had surgery like this before.
