  • Visited as an outpatient, and was well looked after from start to finish, on the day, and afterwards with follow up physio. Had also attended a couple of times to see consultants, and appointment times were kept to which is how it should always be.

  • All the nursing staff were absolutely brilliant, they cared for me really well, the surgeon was very helpful and explained things to me well. The theatre staff were also excellent, really putting me at ease prior to the procedure. Unfortunately it's been over eight weeks since I had the procedure which was foot surgery and I still cannot bare to wear a shoe. My toes and foot are still swollen and go off in opposite directions, I saw my G.P. a couple of weeks ago and she said, bone surgery does take time to heal and I was to see her again in four weeks to see if it was any better. I hope I can get a shoe on soon as the weather is starting to get colder now. After my last procedure I received an email from Ramsey healthcare asking me for the above review, when they received it I was asked if I would like to get another appointment to see the surgeon and see if anything could be done to improve it. I saw the consultant just before Christmas and he agreed that it didn't look good, and he asked me if I would like to have it done again and I said yes please. The surgery date was set for March this year, so for six months I had to wear an open shoe with a plastic bag to keep my foot dry, all through the coldest part of the year. After the second surgery there was a good improvement to my big toe enabling me to wear a proper shoe, it's been three months now and my second toe is still not good, it curves to the left and twists over to one side. It starts the day being not comfortable and as the day goes on the discomfort turns to pain, Mr Keruppiah has given me an open appointment in case I need to see him again, but if I did would he be able to do anything for me and am I sure that I ever want to go back to Woodthorpe hospital.

  • Excellent, I had a hip replacement & the care I got pre and post op was second to none. The nursing and physio team ensured I was at ease and coached me through the recovery. The operation itself went without incident, which can only be put down to the professionalism of the surgery team. The hospital have planned extra physios to get me to full recovery and a call is planned 4 months after the op with the consultant who oversaw my operation. Fantastic care.

  • My experience of being treated (by doctors and nurses) at Ashtead is first class, however that doesn't extend to the switchboard. It's nigh on impossible to get through; over the last few days I've spent over 40 minutes listening to lift music and each time have had to give up because I have had other commitments to attend to. It's a hugely frustrating experience when all I need is a quick answer to a simple question

  • Unlike most hospitals, Rowley hall felt anything other than 'Medicinal'. The environment felt homely yet professional, and all the staff I spoke to have been incredibly pleasant. The waiting times have always been exceptional, no 'Come in at 9:00' to then be seen at 10:30, if I arrived before the appointment, the longest wait I had was a mere 5 minutes after the booking. An incredible hospital that in my recovery, will come to sorely miss.
