I recently had a steroid injection under the pain management clinic and from my very first call I was made to feel assured and confident that I was in safe hands and this was the place to be for the best treatment! The private patient team were amazing from start to finish! They were super friendly and informative with fantastic customer service and i also recieved very speedy bookings for my consultation and treatment! On the day of my procedure I was welcomed at the door to huge smiles which was a big theme that I noticed during my visit! From the pre assessment to my treatment itself everybody involved was super professional, caring and clearly very knowledgable which made me feel extremely safe! I couldn’t be more thankful to the Woodthorpe hospital! 10/10 service, I would certainly recommend and come back in the future if required!

I was quite looking forward to no waiting times and a smooth and straight forward process after my nurse had recommended here. However that was far, far from the experience I had. I had my consultation booked in expecting it to be quicker given the fact it's private. I was waiting over 45 minutes before the fire alarm sounded and we were all asked to wait outside. 45 minutes passed outside totalling to am hour and a half waiting for them to cancel everyone right there on the spot. Tried again and attended my consultation, still waiting half an hour to be seen after my appointment time. Went in and was out within a few minutes. I was waiting on the bookings team calling however they didn't call. I had to call the hospital to ask when I was scheduled in to which the male that answered sorted for me. On the day of my procedure I was walking out the door and was called to be advised my procedure was cancelled due to the doctor being ill. No other doctors were able to go assist with the procedure. Understandably I was extremely upset as I'd completed all of my bowel prep which isn't the nicest experience! You would think the hospital would have an on call doctor. I was eventually rescheduled in a week later and was advised my bowel prep would be posted out. It was two days before and I'd heard nothing so I called. Reception hadn't a clue about the bowel prep and stated there was nothing on their system to say it was posted and so I had to travel to collect it!!! Given the hike in fuel prices and the fact I'd already travelled over from Hartlepool 2 times at this point I was pretty annoyed. So off I went to make my third trip over there. The day of the procedure came round and I went to the hospital for the fourth time. I was in and with a nurse within minute's. I can't fault the lady who did my pre assessment on the day she was lovely. Also the staff during the procedure were lovely and explained everything. One of the nurses could tell I was nervous and reassured me it's be okay. The procedure was then done within 15 minutes and I was taken back to my room where the nurse explained the next steps. Again, all of the staff I encountered on the day were exceptional and so I thank them for that. Everything prior to the day wasn't an experience I'd ever want to go through again.

Have had 2 operations at this hospital. Both NHS and private. On both occasions I was treated to the same level of service. Everyone at the hospital cares about treating you very well, and making sure you get a great service from them. Would recommend them. Great hospital and great staff.

I recently had my varicose vein removal procedure at Buckshaw Hospital and I couldn’t be happier with the care I received. The facilities were great, all the staff were absolutely exceptional. Mr Manmohan Madan and everyone did an excellent job with the procedure itself and I’m eternally grateful and would 110% recommend this place. Feeling comfortable and safe is important when going in for treatment and they sure do know how to make that happen!

I was more than pleased / satisfied from my very first visit to see Mr Webb, followed by visit for tests( ( the staff here were very good ) and then the the appointment for the operation.Everything went smoothly and all the staff were so helpful .The hospital is lovely, so clean. Since the operation I have been seen by the physio on two occasions and received advice how to improve the knee with a further visit in the coming weeks.

Great parking and access to hospital. Both my consultant and anaesthetist were excellent. All the staff were considerate, sympathetic, cheerful (despite working long hours) and were very helpful at all times. Meals were good and the rooms were very clean.

I was very nervous about having surgery, but everyone was kind, reassuring and professional, which really helped put me at ease. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team for the outstanding care and kindness I received. From the porter, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember (sorry) to Nurse Debbie, everyone was absolutely wonderful. The porter was exceptionally polite and took the time to explain everything to me. Nurse Debbie was incredibly helpful, double-checked everything with me, and gently escorted me in a wheelchair to our car, making sure I was comfortable and safe. Dr Harriet Scott — what can I say? She was so caring, approachable, and friendly. She made sure I understood everything and gave me so much confidence and reassurance. Knowing that she would be there to support me throughout my journey and monitor my progress made such a difference. Thanks to her kindness and professionalism, I never felt scared. Dr Miss Hilary Bosman was equally reassuring. She inspired confidence, demonstrated great professionalism and control, and made me feel completely at ease. She explained everything clearly, using language that was easy to understand and ensuring I felt comfortable and informed throughout the process. Overall, this was the best surgical experience I have ever had in my life. Every member of the team contributed to making what could have been a frightening experience feel safe, reassuring, and positive. Words cannot fully express my gratitude for the exceptional treatment, compassion, and personal care I received. I felt genuinely cared for, respected, and supported every step of the way. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You are truly exceptional, and I will always be grateful for the wonderful care you gave me.
