Once accepted as a patient I was kept well informed of the proposed procedure. I was admitted as an inpatient and located in a very comfortable private room with modern facilities. The surgery was professionally performed and at all times my wellbeing was prioritised. Post-op I was closely monitored to ensure all was well. Clear home-medication instructions were provided. At no time did any part of my stay or treatment cause any distress and I feel well on the way to a full recovery.

Initial assessment was booked quickly and that was performed with care and dignity. The surgery was also booked in for at a satisfactory time period, the staff from reception, nurses, senior nursing staff and the consultant surgeon were all excellent and I felt safe and well cared for, recommended more than I can say.

Total knee replacement last week 26th march. NHS. From the time I came in until I left I felt at ease everybody was calm & reassuring.MR GORDON ANDREW HIGGINS & his team including the anaesthetist team are first class they put you at ease explaining what will happen before during & after surgery thank you. All staff on ward are excellent no stress at all working as a team nothing to much trouble for them thank you all.thanks to LISA EVE JULIE ANNA (LIZ ward receptionist) NICK (SOPHIE physiotherapy MARION FOR MY DISCHARGE .Also a big thank you to WILL for taking care of my wound dressing when it weeped thanks again will 🤞for dressing day won’t be long.Wonderful to have phone call after discharge to see how you are doing. First class hospital would definitely recommend. Questionnaire about how to improve anything in ward. Nothing needs doing. (IT IS NOT BROKEN SO DON’T FIX IT)

I would recommend Mount Stuart for anyone. Every staff member I have met has been extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I've had two surgeries here and both times the staff have been wonderful throughout. They never made me feel like anything was too much for them and I just really appreciate their calmness when undergoing something so vulnerable.

I recently had a procedure at Mount Stuart Hospital and had such a positive experience. I wanted to take the time to Thank you all. Over the years I have Been back and forth continuously with several doctors, not knowing what was the issue and thanks to Mr Narayanan I was able to finally get answers🙏Thank you for being so informative and reassuring from the start and making this journey so quick for me. As I have never undergone any surgery, I was very nervous before hand. A special mention to my nurse, kate I believe her name was (lady with black hair) who was truly wonderful. She was so kind, considerate, and friendly. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and reassured, especially when I was feeling anxious. Her warmth and compassion made such a difference to my whole experience and how I was feeling on the day, from being admitted to discharged. The whole team were professional, attentive, and caring throughout. I felt listened to, respected, and genuinely cared for at every stage. I’m so thankful for the exceptional care I received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mount Stuart Hospital to anyone needing treatment.

Mount Stuart Hospital provides an excellent service from admission through to discharge. Every member of staff is courteous and competent. The facilities are clean and comfortable with privacy central to the patient experience. I was very happy with my surgeon - Mr. Pantaledis - he was not only highly skilled but also very kind and put me entirely at ease. The operation went well and the aftercare was assiduous. Helen, his secretary ensured that the booking fitted into my schedule which was very much appreciated by me. In short, I cannot commend The Ramsey Group and in particular Mount Stuart Hospital enough.

I recently underwent surgery at Mount Stuart Hospital. The entire experience was made better by the excellent support I received throughout the process. Staff were busy but always approachable, helpful, and reassuring, making what could have been a daunting experience feel well organised and comfortable. I am extremely grateful for the care I received at the hospital.

Had partial knee replacement here, it was OK...... there was an admin mare between all parties which meant i had to pay for the op myself. The care was the care, nothing really stood out that woudl make me say kick teh NHS into touch as these guys are ace, it was just...... OK...... and definately quicker

My short stay at Mount Stuart Hospital for surgery was marked by the care and consideration of the staff. I was exceptionally well looked after by the nurses and caterers. My only gripe was that, post op, I could not do justice the excellent food provided.

I had a total knee replacement last week with a spinal block. My whole experience was a great pleasure and has already brought life-changing results. I am looking forward to my other knee matching up to the first! Firstly I must offer my sincere gratitude to Mr Gordon Higgins, (now viewed by me as a god!), whose outstanding expertise has given me hope for the future. I am also hugely grateful to the anaesthetist (I didn’t catch his name) who diagnosed my sleep apnea. Now I have a CPAP machine he might well have prolonged my life. I was so relaxed in the theatre that I happily dozed off during the surgery. I was not sedated and felt completely at ease. The entire staff are worthy of praise: each and every nurse showed warmth and empathy. The chefs even catered for my ketogenic diet! The food was delicious. I was lucky enough to be allocated this hospital on the NHS. Despite not paying anything for my care, I was treated like a princess.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the outstanding hospital staff, especially surgeon Ben Holroyd, for the exceptional quality of care I received. From start to finish, everything was fast and efficient while still feeling calm and well organised. The surgeon and team were incredibly supportive, caring, and reassuring, which made a stressful experience much easier. I can’t find a way of leaving a second review so have to edit my original one which was for a stay in 2023:- 2) Jan 2026. I have just had a shoulder replacement and again I received brilliant service, all staff were attentive and caring. Very informative and couldn’t do enough for me. Thank you so much. 1)2023: I have just had a Right Total Knee Replacement at Mount Stuart, a few years ago I had my left knee replaced at a different hospital and the whole experience was far superior this time. All staff, doctors and nurses are friendly and professional and although they are busy they always give you their full attention and a cheery word . My surgeon was very friendly and approachable and I am very pleased with my result so far. Also the food was lovely.
