We recognise that the prospect of hospital treatment can be daunting, especially if you will be staying with us for some time. Please be assured that all our hospital staff are committed to making your time with us as restful as possible.
If you are visiting as a day case or an inpatient, there are a number of items you may wish to bring with you.

If you are staying for a few days or longer you may prefer to bring casual clothing, books and children may gain some comfort from their favourite toy. Patients undergoing hip or knee surgery are advised to bring shorts, a loose skirt, trousers or a track suit, together with comfortable shoes to wear during post-operative physiotherapy.
We advise that you do not bring valuables or large sums of money, if at all possible. If you wish to bring personal electrical equipment please inform the nurse on admission.
You will be allocated a private room with en-suite. Your rooms are light and spacious, comfortable, and clean. There a TV and access to free Wi-Fi.
Food and drinks are prepared on-site by our head chef and catering team. There is a wide variety of fresh, locally sourced produce. You can even order refreshments for your visitors, who will be free to visit at times that suit you.
Before you come to hospital, there may be certain preparations you need to make, for example not eating or drinking for four to six hours before a general anaesthetic (you can sip clear fluids). You will be advised of this during the pre-admission process.
