  • Came to The Cherwell Hospital for a Subacromial decompression and AC Joint excision, I have to say from start to finish this hospital was fantastic. From the surgeons to the nurses and everyone in between were brilliant and left me feeling as safe and reassured after my first surgery. I would definitely return to The Cherwell Hospital for any future issues when the need arises. Thank you all so much for such a positive experience .

  • Had total hip replacement on 13th April 2026. I'm 63 yrs old and first ever operation and I was pretty anxious about it. Had epidural and opted for music and headphones rather than any other anesthetic. Staff were very reassuring and put me at ease,the anaesthetist explained if I became distressed he could give me something to calm me. No need for this as I had no problems and had worry for nothing. Mr Arts was great and after care was second to none. Went home mid afternoon the next day .

  • I attended The Cherwell Hospital on an NHS referral for Frozen Shoulder. This has involved (to date): 1. Initial consultation with Mr Shafighian 2. MRI scan 3. Follow-up consultation with Mr Shafighian 4. Steroid injection and hydrodialion with guided ultrasound by the radiology team led by Dr Ajay for my treatment 5. Initial physio appointment with James Every person that I have come into contact with has been welcoming, friendly, professional, kind and efficient. This includes the clinic reception teams, nurses, doctors and consultants, radiologists, physio etc. It really has been outstanding in every way and perfect example of how our NHS system can and could run. This is not the first time I have been an out-patient at the hospital and all other times have been similar. What a great asset to the Banbury community. The treatment has already made a tremendous difference to resolving my shoulder issue and I have a further physio and consultation coming up in the next month. Great service, I could not ask for more. The only constructive comments I have is a) to improved the main reception as the lady on reception is often on the phone and that results in a delay in getting through to the appointment and b) the parking. Aside from needing more spaces, the new parking system has resulted in my husband receiving a fine even thought he paid for the parking and has provided evidence of doing so. This is a very unwelcome aspect of a hospital visit. Thank you to everyone at The Cherwell Hospital. Keep up the excellent work as we appreciate you all very much.

  • Had a Hip operation at the Cherwell Hospital and received exceptional treatment , from the moment of being greeted by Karen who was the administrator to all the kind helpful nurses and the amazing surgeon MR ISSAC . This was my first surgery and feel I was in safe hands from beginning to end ,’. Now on the road to recovery with the physio and he has been great so thank you Janes

  • I cannot thank Karen Nichols, the private patients manager, enough for all of her help, kindness and support throughout my treatments. From the very beginning, she was professional, approachable and incredibly reassuring, always taking the time to answer questions promptly and make sure everything ran smoothly. Her communication was excellent and she genuinely went above and beyond to make what could have been a stressful situation feel far more manageable. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and her calm, caring manner made a real difference. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated to providing outstanding patient care and support. A true credit to the team, and I’m extremely grateful for everything she has done.

  • How relieved I was to get an appointment with Mr Kordas. He was professional and courteous throughout. Diagnosed me immediately and am now happily (? ) awaiting a full hip replacement. Will update post procedure but am positive it will be life changing for me.

  • I've had double shoulder surgery many years ago. They were starting to be painful again so I was referred to The Cherwell Hospital to be assessed with ultrasound and MRI before being offered ultrasound guided hydrocortisone injections. The team were brilliant, from Angela and the ladies at Radiography reception, to Edward and his team who administered the injections. I was seen quickly, treated quickly, & I'm very grateful!

  • I was referred here by my GP and the care and attention to detail could not have been better, the staff are extremely knowledgeable and they go out of their way to help you, they requested information from my GP that could have fatal consequences if I went ahead with MRI ,my GP ignored the request for information from both hospital and myself , they left no stone unturned to secure this information, I felt I was in extremely good hands and would recommend this hospital to family , thank to them all

  • I had a Caudal Epidural Injection and suffering from severe anxiety they prepared me for sedation but with the care, understanding and excellent treatment i did not need it. I can not thank all the staff enough for making me feel at ease and would definitely recommend The Cherwll Hospital to anyone.
