This hospital is absolutely fantastic in every way, I came here on Saturday 13th July initially as a day case but an overnight stay was required, I underwent cubical tunnel release surgery with a dotted line approach to UNATS which in the end wasn’t required, I was under the care of Mr Jepson and his brilliant team who really looked after me from the very start to the very end , a special thank you to Carolyn my personal nurse who took care of me on the 1st floor both before and after my surgery, a special thank you also to Emily as well, both of you looked after me so wonderfully, a special mention to Dr Bains consultant anaesthetist who explained everything that he was going to do in the theatre suite, besides a general anaesthetic I also had a nerve block injection which is something I’ve never had before, after my procedure Carolyn and Emily continued to look after me before I went upstairs to the 2nd floor for my overnight stay, the room was brilliant, I continued to be monitored by both the day and night staff who were wonderful, you know who you all are ❤️the catering team worked so hard throughout with sandwiches and dessert to start off with after my procedure, Saturday evening my tea included tomato soup and vanilla ice cream, cups of tea and coffee, on Sunday morning I had a delicious full english breakfast, followed in the afternoon by a Sunday roast before being discharged, my personal nurse on the 2nd floor was Mr Alexandru Dodoiu who was fantastic from beginning to end, he sorted out all my follow up appointments and discharge letter, 2 chartered physiotherapists visited me, one on Saturday on the 1st floor and one on Sunday on the 2nd floor who provided me with a sling and also a few guidance leaflets on what to expect after elbow surgery and exercises I needed to do, I have other underlying issues which I made all the key staff aware of. I’m still under the care of Mr Jepson for the foreseeable future as other operations will be required but at the moment I’m just concentrating on one thing at a time.
