We have a great team of Physiotherapists and other specialists working at Berkshire Independent Hospital Physiotherapy department.

 

Lisa Davies - Physio Department Manager

Lisa is our Physio Department Manager. The majority of Lisa’s 29 years of experience is inpatient orthopaedics. Currently clinically she is enjoying the challenges of incorporating Enhanced recovery and improving average length of stay for joint replacement with a view to day case joint replacement in the not too distant future. 

 

Minal Desai - Physiotherapist

Having over 20 years of experience as a Physiotherapist, Minal is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for her patients using a holistic approach. She has a special interest in treating upper limb conditions including Hand therapy. She also works in shoulder clinics where she can assess, refer for imaging and administer steroid injections as required.

 

Richard Forbes - Advanced Practice Physiotherapist

Richard is an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist who has specialised in the treatment of the hand and upper limb.  He has 18 years of experience and works closely with Orthopaedic consultants in shoulder and hand clinics to provide the best possible outcomes for his patients.

 

Aoife Filmer - Physiotherapist 

Originating from Athletic Therapy and Training, Aoife is a qualified Physiotherapist specialising in myofascial release and functional movement. With two MSc qualifications behind her, Aoife is also certified in dry needling treatment and kinesiology taping. Her treatment and management plans centre around improving patient quality of life, by helping to reduce barriers to movement and individualised exercise progression.

 

Luke McKendrick - Physiotherapist 

Luke is an experienced physiotherapist with a passion for helping people and guiding them through their recovery. Luke has a keen interest in rehabilitation, using both exercises both gym and home based alongside manual therapies to help his patients achieve their goals of returning to everyday life or to the sporting pitch. This is supplemented with education to promote self-management and a holistic approach to care.
