Dr Claire Olver is the private GP here at Mount Stuart Hospital and has a Wednesday clinic.  Dr Olver covers all aspects of General Practice, including acute and chronic illnesses, women’s health, stress and depression & health screening.

Dr Olver qualified St Georges Hospital Medical School in 1998 then went on to complete GP training at Mid Essex Hospitals with positions in General Medicine, Acute and Community Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Adult Psychiatry. She was a Partner in an NHS practice 2004-2016 and since 2016, became a private general practice in Essex, Suffolk and London, before relocating to Devon in January 2018.

Dr Olver also continues her work as an NHS Locum GP.

This service can be used for urgent issues as well as longer-term problems for which the convenience of the location, facilities and timings make for a better healthcare experience. It is not intended as an alternative for conditions which should be managed by a hospital Accident and Emergency Department.

We offer 30 minute appointments, bookable in advance at times convenient to those busy during normal working hours. private prescriptions can be issued.

What is the cost?

Appointment (30 mins) - Face to Face or Telephone - £110 

Payment to be made on the day.

For repeat prescriptions/sick notes, these will include a telephone call where appropriate, and only to patients who have already been seen within this service.
