Exeter Medical and Mount Stuart Hospital's Successful Outing at Devon County Show

Exeter Medical and Mount Stuart Hospital were proud to return to the Devon County Show, held from 21st to 23rd May 2026.

The teams from Exeter Medical and Mount Stuart Hospital joined forces again this year and attended the Devon County Show.

Across Thursday and Friday, our clinical team offered complimentary skin checks with Dr Craig Barker, Specialty Doctor in Dermatology, and Mr Andrew Wilson, Consultant Plastic Surgeon. During these sessions 77 skin checks were carried out. Of these, 19 lesions were identified as potentially cancerous, and we were able to signpost these individuals on for appropriate care.

Throughout all three days, our registered nurses also provided mini‑health checks, including blood pressure readings, height and weight measurements, and BMI calculations. More than 100 health checks were carried out, with several of these individuals advised to seek further assessment with their GP surgery.
