When attending the clinic, you will meet Dr Alastair Jones (Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal Injury Specialist) together with one of our experienced physiotherapists who will provide a joined-up approach to your care and rehabilitation. You will also have access to the following treatments:

Meet the Team

Dr Alastair Jones

Dr Alastair Jones The Yorkshire Clinic
Dr Alastair Jones is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine as well as a Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal Physician at the Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust. Alastair qualified in Medicine from the University of Sheffield in 2003. He obtained Fellowship to the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in 2011 and Membership to the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine in 2019. He also achieved a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Bath in 2016. His areas of clinical interest include; Musculoskeletal Medicine, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, Sports and Exercise Medicine and Sports Concussion. Alastair is also heavily involved in the field of Sports and Exercise Medicine. He currently provides medical services to Leeds Rhinos Rugby League and has held the post of Head of Medical Services for Leeds Rugby. He oversaw the medical departments of both Leeds Rhinos Rugby League and Yorkshire Carnegie Rugby Union. 

Rachael Slater - Physiotherapy Manager

Rachael Slater The Yorkshire Clinic
Rachael started working at the Yorkshire Clinic in 2004. She has worked as an Advanced Level Physiotherapist since completing a Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and Injection Therapy. Rachael has a special interest in shoulders and hips due to working in clinic with a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for 15 years.  Rachael has recently taken on the role of Physiotherapy Manager but still treats patients in her weekly clinics.

Danny Taylor- Senior Physiotherapist

Danny Taylor The Yorkshire Clinic
Danny has been at the Yorkshire Clinic since 2017 after working across the NHS and in private practice since qualifying as a physiotherapist in 2013. He has extensive experience in diagnosis and rehabilitation of sporting injuries having completed multiple post-grad courses and qualifications mainly focussing on exercise and strength and conditioning. He mainly specialises in the lower limb and patients with ankle and foot dysfunction.

Michael Barratt – Senior Physiotherapist

Michael Barratt The Yorkshire Clinic
Michael qualified as a physiotherapist in 2019, throughout this time he has developed a substantial amount of experience working with a wide variety of patients progressing into a Senior Physiotherapist role. Treatment delivery is based upon evidence informed clinical care with a bias towards active rehabilitation. Has a large involvement in ACL rehabilitation here at The Yorkshire Clinic. Along with being part of the Hand Therapy Team involved with Post-operative treatment, splinting and functional education. 

Steve Redmond – Senior Physiotherapist

Steve Redmond The Yorkshire Clinic
Stephen started at the Yorkshire clinic in 2008 after 30 years working in professional football at all levels, finally as Head of Sports Science and Medicine at Huddersfield Town. He now specialises in sports medicine and rehabilitation with an interest in knee injuries, along with other lower limb disorders.
