I had a large sebaceous cyst on my scalp (which I nicknamed “my unicorn horn!) and two skin tags on my lower eyelids removed by Mr Andrew Wilson at Exeter Medical. He explained everything that he was doing throughout the procedure and gave me plenty of time to ask questions. He was very gentle and thorough and the nurses assisting, Mandy and Rena, were so lovely and friendly and looked after me very well. The procedure itself was remarkably stress free and I experienced very little discomfort apart from the initial sting of the local anaesthetic, which surprised me as I was expecting it to be painful in such a delicate area. As well as 3 internal stitches in my scalp I had 4 external stitches and these were removed at my GP surgery today. The scars on my eyelids are almost invisible now (and I had hardly any swelling or bruising after the skin tags were cut away). The scar on my head is very neat and again is barely visible through my hair. I am delighted that I chose Exeter Medical: the whole process, from consultation through to booking the appointment and being discharged, was easy and smooth and the results were exactly what I had hoped for. It is a great shame that these procedures are no longer available in the NHS but for me they were well worth paying for, especially as I chose the interest-free loan to pay by instalments which made it manageable. Monday 20th April 2026.. I had steroid epidural injections for back + leg pain. The staff + the place itself were all so bright + cheerful, it wasn't much like a hospital at all. My procedure was well explained all the way through by Mr. Hutton + l am cautiously optimistic enough to believe that - after only 24hrs - it has already made a difference. Quite life-changing as long as it lasts .. So I highly recommend - thank you so much.

Removal of keratosis near eye. Very quick and efficient and surprisingly quite painless. Staff pleasant and friendly. Free on site parking a bonus. Would highly recommend for this sort of procedure.

I recently had cataract surgery carried out by Mr Peter Simcock. The anesthestist was Dr Chris Day and the nursing team were Rosalyn, Jan and Rena. The care provided was faultless by each member of the team. All parts of the procedure were clearly explained, and there were repeated checks to ensure the correct eye was identified. There was a lovely calm atmosphere and all the staff were kind and courteous. Gold standard service. Thank you.

Trigger finger treatment. Properly investigated and while I’m not keen on anything invasive, they were extremely attentive, well staffed. Operation was carried out on the date and time agreed by the doctor who initially met with me. Multiple checks to make sure correct procedure undertaken. Can’t fault their professionalism. “Thank you” I now await the bandages to come off.

Im really impressed. The service was so refreshing, supportive, professional - Dr Barker - what a scholar - was excellent during consultation and surgery and from start to finish the communications were exceptional from the staff. Vasectomy surgery is a sensitive issue for a man, and yet, this team made it so easy to entrust with. I want to say thank you to the team and the surgical staff that just did what it says on the tin. Truly exceptional - i wish all hospitals and practices were this good.
