Euxton Hall Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care UK (Ramsay UK), was delighted to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress for Chorley, Councillor Alistair Morwood and Mrs Jane Morwood, along with Paul Foster, MP for South Ribble, to officially unveil its newly refurbished ward.

The refurbishment marks a significant milestone in Euxton Hall’s continuous investment in enhancing local healthcare services and underscores Ramsay UK’s commitment to delivering exceptional care for patients and communities across the country.
Opened in 1983, Euxton Hall is one of Ramsay UK’s 34 hospitals nationwide. The hospital cares for NHS‑referred, privately insured, and self‑funding patients, and its location on the outskirts of Chorley, with convenient access to Preston and Wigan, has helped establish it as one of Lancashire’s leading independent healthcare providers.

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, Hospital Director Helene Delaney, together with Jo Dickson, Chief Clinical and Quality Officer for Ramsay UK, and Debbie Craven, Operations Director, hosted a tour of the hospital. Guests had the opportunity to meet staff, patients, and Consultants, gaining insight into the exceptional work undertaken at Euxton Hall and the dedication of its teams. The visit further highlighted the hospital’s ongoing investment in strengthening and expanding local health services.
Following the visit, Councillor Alistair Morwood, Mayor for Chorley said:
“It was a pleasure to be asked to open a newly refurbished ward at Euxton Hall Hospital. Along with Paul Foster, MP for South Ribble we were shown the new facility which represents a significant investment in the health and wellbeing of our community.
A significant proportion of the treatments available are done through the NHS. Modern health care requires modern facilities, and I thanked Ramsay health Care for their commitment to high quality care for the people of Chorley, South Ribble and the surrounding area.”
Helene Delaney, Hospital Director for Euxton Hall Hospital said:
“Today marks a truly significant milestone for Euxton Hall Hospital and for the community we are so proud to serve. The refurbishment of our ward is far more than an upgrade to our facilities; it represents our long-term commitment to ensuring patients in Chorley and the surrounding areas receive outstanding care in an environment that is modern, safe, and comforting.
I am incredibly proud of the dedication shown by our teams throughout this project. Their passion for delivering high quality, patient-centred care is evident in everything they do, and this new ward will only strengthen their ability to support our patients. We are grateful to the Mayor, Mayoress, and our local MP for joining us today, and for recognising the value of continued investment in local healthcare.”
