Boston West Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care UK (Ramsay UK), was pleased to welcome Richard Tice MP, Member of Parliament for Boston and Skegness, for an official visit to the hospital.

Hospital Director Helen Tait, alongside members of the wider hospital team, welcomed Mr Tice and gave him a tour of the facility, visiting its departments and showcasing the services provided to both NHS and privately funded patients. These include orthopaedics, general surgery and ophthalmology, alongside a range of diagnostic and outpatient services.
During the visit, the team highlighted Boston West Hospital’s role in delivering high-quality healthcare for patients across Lincolnshire and its contribution to supporting local NHS capacity. Mr Tice met colleagues from across the hospital to hear first-hand about their work and the services available to the local community, as well as the hospital’s ongoing investment in its facilities, technology and patient care.
In February 2026, Ramsay UK completed a £1.85 million investment in the expansion of Boston West Hospital. The development included the opening of a second operating theatre, a new consulting room, additional recovery bays and the refurbishment of reception and waiting areas. This investment has increased the hospital’s capacity, enhanced the patient experience and strengthened the range of healthcare services available to the local community.
The investment builds on the hospital’s recent positive inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which awarded Boston West Hospital a rating of ‘Good’. Inspectors recognised the quality of care provided, highlighting the kindness, compassion and professionalism of colleagues, alongside the hospital’s strong commitment to protecting patients’ privacy and dignity.
Together, these developments demonstrate Boston West Hospital’s continued commitment to investing in local healthcare, supporting NHS services and ensuring patients across Lincolnshire have access to safe, effective and compassionate care.

Following the visit, Richard Tice MP for Boston and Skegness said:
“I was delighted to visit Boston West Hospital last week and see the new facilities following the recent £1.85m investment made. The design of the hospital offers patients individualised care and it was evident that patient satisfaction is very high. I believe it is important that residents are aware that this hospital in the heart of Boston is available to them, whether referred by your GP as an NHS patient or privately funded. Hospitals such as this play a valuable role in supporting pressured NHS services, ensuring people can access the care they need within the local area.”
Helen Tait, Hospital Director said:
“It was a pleasure to welcome Richard Tice MP to Boston West Hospital and showcase the work of our fantastic team.
We are proud of the role we play in supporting healthcare provision across Lincolnshire, working alongside the NHS to provide patients with timely access to high-quality care, free at the point of use for NHS patients.
Our recent £1.85 million investment demonstrates our continued commitment to the hospital and the communities we serve. It was a valuable opportunity to discuss how we can continue to work collaboratively with local partners to improve access, expand capacity and deliver the best possible outcomes for patients.”
