The parents of the Mini & Youth Hitchin Rugby Club players were very grateful to have the opportunity to sign up for free Basic Life Support provided by our Pinehill Hospital Matron, Clare Granada, and Resuscitation Leads – Liz Creigg & Polly Filep.

There are now another 18 Basic Life Support trained parents at Hitchin Rugby Club thanks to the sessions provided by Pinehill Hospital, who are also a key sponsor of Hitchin Rugby Club.

Pinehill have now provided two 1-hour sessions to Mini & Youth parents in Basic Life Support covering how to give valuable CPR and how to use a defibrillator. A total of 18 parents have taken part with everyone leaving with a greater sense of confidence and knowledge about what to do in the event of being called upon to potentially save someone's life.
