  • I saw a very helpful consultant, who recomended, treatment!... "hip injection" *** Update *** I had the treatment today, and I was amazed by the fact, it was completely pain free! I'd been told that I'd need to be sedated, which meant I wouldn't be allowed to go home, where I currently live alone... But I didn't have sedation just localised anesthetic injections, and as a result i was discharged within half an hour! Very pleased! 🙂

  • I came looking for reviews on any endoscopy reviews and found one which was so helpful for me so i promised to leave a review to help anyone undergoing the same treatment. Firstly i was 15 mins late as i thought my appointment was slightly later then planned, but the team were so forgiving and assured or was all fine. I was taken straight to the ward on arrival and asked to put on my gown and fill put my forms again. This was done online 2 days prior but i may have missed the time it needed to be sent? Either way i was assured it was ok and filled out forms whilst waiting. This didn't take long. To stress that i was a nervous wreck is an understatement. All nurses and Dr Mohammed cane to talk to me and assured me of each step and how long it would be. I was able to ask all my questions like what they were looking for etc and i was not rushed. After lots of nervous knee shaking i was taken through by the loveliest nurses. I was a nervous wreck bit each step was done with time and ease. 10 numbing throat sprays and oxygen, then i laid on my side, mouth guard in and the sedation went in and i was asleep in seconds! Before the sedation i asked if the nurse could hold my hand (38 year old mother of 2 and not ashamed to ask for a hand hold!) i WISH i remembered the lovely nurses name (fabulous looped dreadlock hair!) as she held my hand the entire procedure as promised and this was the only thing i felt the entire time in the moments i do remember. My fear of the day was the potential gagging and retching that comes with this thoe of procedure but if this happened, i was non the wiser! So grateful to the hand to hold. I vaguely remember the tube coming out and waking up in a lovely dazey way in my bay. After my sandwich and two black teas (gf option and milks options available) i got myself dressed to go. At no point was i made to feel like i had to leave quickly and was able to take my time. The very sweet nurse Bev came round and explained my results (all clear!) and gave me my file which had images and all the info. I was told this would all be sent to my GP and was able to ask anymore questions if needed. After that my sedation cannula was taken out and i was able to go. If you are an anxious patient the opt for the sedation. You will be totally fine! If i was to visit pinehill again i know i would come back with ease.

  • Underwent spinal surgery with Mr Kabir, everyone from start to finish was first class. Although I went to he’ll and back initially with the pain I am now so so much better. Mr Kabir is excellent and true to his word, the resulting op has genuinely changed my life. I am eternally grateful. Thank you

  • I contacted the hospital switchboard to enquire about a specialist ENT consultation with Dr Patel. I was quoted £150 initially but then charged £250 after the consultation. Dr Patel was great. Empathic, supportive and helped me with the problem that I had, which I found very reassuring. I did inform the receptionist about the overcharge, but I was still charged the same fee. After being notified, Simone from Pinehill Hospital contacted me to let me know that they had made a mistake and the hospital issued a refund of £100 immediately. Mistakes like this happen, but the fact that they contacted me promptly, acknowledged the error, and issued a refund tells me that this is a well-led, trustworthy hospital. Thank you again, I will definitely come back if ever needed.

  • I had an upper GI endoscopy here the other day. As an anxious person when it comes to invasive medical procedures I struggled to find any reviews for this procedure at all which would’ve been reassuring. So just wanted to leave a review. The service was great. From when I first walked in the lady at the reception desk was absolutely lovely and so welcoming. Then I was taken to the short stay unit. I was really anxious and my nurse Helena did a great job at trying to put me at ease. She kept me up to date with my position in the slight queue and answered all of my questions. She was empathetic and all around lovely. Very calming given I was soooo anxious. I was also allowed to keep my husband with me there right up until the procedure when they wheeled me off. I was then brought back directly to him. This support was so important for how anxious I was. In the procedure room itself the nurses were also lovely and calming, reassuring me we’d be okay. Dr Muhammad also listened to me when I explained where may be best to cannulate, which I appreciated. I opted for sedation so I don’t remember much of the procedure itself. But I recovered well. To add to the service, when I’d first arrived there was a menu to choose from hot drinks with non-dairy milk options as well as a variety of sandwiches for after the procedure, given you are NBM (nil by mouth) for a while beforehand. I thought this was a lovely touch. And I really enjoyed both the tea and what appeared to be a freshly made sandwich after (not the pre-made packet stuff- I was asked about white or brown bread! lol). Overall a really positive experience! If you’re anxious I promise you’re in good hands here! Thank you Pinehill and hope this provides some reassurance to future patients that they’re in good hands.
