All aspects of the visit were very positive. The hospital staff were all friendly and efficient and the consultant was very good in explaining his assessment and I felt very confident in his abilities.

I have just come home from having spinal surgery at New Hall and could not be better pleased. All staff, from the surgeon to the auxiliary staff, were unfailingly efficient, professional, approachable and kind. The surgeon, Paul Rhys Davies, explained the procedure clearly and without being patronising: I was included in the decision-making and was confident about the outcome. His easy manner and sense of humour did much to set me at my ease. From orderlies to nurses and anaesthetists, everyone seemed to take pleasure in working at New Hall and in caring for patients. My operation appears to have been very successful, and I look forward to meeting the staff again for follow-up appointments.

The billing and upcoming charges were less than transparent and less than accurate. The hospital may feel they know how everything work as they work there and are familiar with all the processes, but as a patient I was not.

I have been at this hospital twice this year, as a Private patient and through the NHS. Both visits went extremely well, thank you. In particular Jenny O’Grady, the first person you meet in reception, nothing is too much trouble, she is very kind and helpful, she is a great asset to the team.

I was in New Hall in the afternoon of 27th October 2025 for a short procedure on a painful toe. Everyone was friendly and helpful, always explaining the next step so that I felt extremely well looked after and there were no surprises. I felt calm and comfortable.
