I was recently treated for a full hip joint replacement. Obviously a good surgical outcome is a major aspect and I certainly received that in the short term ……. and I am continuing to improve beyond my pre surgery mobility and close to my pre symptom mobility as my stamina recovers with more exercise. More widely, but briefly, the whole experience was very positive ….. a secluded site in a good location, an efficient layout making good use of the buildings, and impressive facilities within. All the staff I encountered were capable and professional but they were also individuals which helped to downplay the hospital context. A big thank you to Mr Veitch the surgeon, to the anaesthetist who ensured “I didn’t feel a thing” and recovered well thereafter, and the physio who quickly had me walking and negotiating stairs in a surprisingly short time.

Very happy with James Beck He really put me at my ease he is very professional kind and immediately put me at my ease. He explained to me in simple language that I can understand I am 76 years old and am very scared and frightened about my operation but he really put me at my ease.

My wife has just returned home from a knee replacement operation at New Hall Hospital. She could not have received better treatment. The pre-admission communication was thorough, timely and very clear. The risks and rewards were explained in detail, with ample opportunity to ask questions and obtain more detailed explanations. On the day of the surgery the admission process was seamless, professional and courteous in execution. The theatre team, led by the Consultant Mr Shergill and Dr Swaine, were all friendly and reassuring in addition to their evident professionalism. Those unseen members of the Theatre Team who support the operation must have been equally as good and efficient as, inside the time promised, my wife was up on the ward being looked after by an equally professional team. The staff could not have been more caring and friendly in their treatment, assistance and the management of pain. Equally outstanding were the Physio Team who concentrating on mobility and preparing the patient for the stairs and other obstacles they would meet on returning home. Everything was run at the pace of the patient and fully concentrated on meeting their needs and expectations. What was evident throughout is that New Hall Hospital comprises of a strong team who work together seamlessly and professionally, fully committed to their patients needs

I recently stayed in at New Hall Hospital in Salisbury, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. The hospital itself is beautiful—set in peaceful parkland, spotlessly clean, and calm. What truly made it special was how every member of staff looked after me with genuine care and the highest standards. From the reception team who welcomed me warmly, to the nurses who were attentive, kind, and always checking in, to the doctors and consultants who explained everything clearly and reassuringly—everyone went above and beyond. They treated me with respect, listened to my concerns, and made sure I felt supported and comfortable throughout. The level of professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail was impressive. Nothing was too much trouble, and it really felt like they cared about my wellbeing as an individual. Ive only experienced such consistently excellent care in previous visits at Mew Hall Hospital. Thank you to the whole team at New Hall Hospital.

The staff and facilities at the hospital foster a professional environment focussed on improving one’s health. Apart from a longer than expected waiting time for surgery - which was beyond the control of the staff -, my visits to the hospital have been positive.

My recent experience at New Hall was excellent. Prior to my procedure, I met with my consultant at New Hall to assess my condition and confirm the necessity of treatment. The consultation and pre-admission communication were clear, thorough, and reassuring. On the day of the procedure, although I was anxious 😟, I was extremely well looked after: from arrival from consultant, anaesthetist, nurses and catering! . Everyone was professional and supportive. During questions I was asked if there was any chance I could be pregnant — a little weird and unlikely, given I’m a 65-year-old man! I stayed overnight and felt well cared for throughout, and when I returned three days later to have my catheter removed, the nurse was fantastic and put me completely at ease. Five star experience and I would happily recommend New Hall.

Absolutely brilliant hospital, from arriving yesterday I was going down to theatre within 40 minutes. Brilliant surgeon and all the staff look after you so well, would definitely recommend 💯
