Welcome to our Day Surgery Unit at Rowley Hall Hospital. The unit is fully equipped to cater for patients undergoing procedures where a bedroom or overnight stay is not required.
This facility ensures patients spend a reduced amount of time at the hospital, where clinically appropriate, and can return to their normal activities as soon as possible.
There are a range of procedures where overnight stays are not required which include podiatric surgery (foot and ankle), eye surgery (cataracts), gynaecological surgery and endoscopy.
During your time on the Day Surgery Unit you’ll be looked after by a team of friendly and dedicated nurses and your care and comfort is of paramount importance to them.
Our Day Surgery Unit offers a range of benefits including a fast and efficient service, a timely patient pathway and it means you don’t have to spend much time in hospital.
Your average stay after your operation on the Day Unit is two hours although some surgeries require a longer stay and your nurse will advise you and your family of this.
