Woodthorpe Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading independent healthcare providers in England.

The hospital opened in 1877 and has built an excellent reputation for delivering first class healthcare for patients with health insurance, patients who are self-funding treatment and NHS patients exercising choice through the e-referral system.

For sat nav use postcode NG5 4FF.

From M1 - From the M1 leave at junction 26, taking the A610 to the Cinderhill roundabout, following Nuthall Road to it’s junction with Western Boulevard. At the major intersection turn left on the A6514 continuing along Valley Road, past the City hospital to the junction with the A60.At the junction turn right. Woodthorpe Hospital is the second turning on the left (Egerton Road).

From A1 North - From the A1 North leave at the Clumber roundabout, following the A614 through Ollerton to the roundabout with the A60 through Arnold and daybrook past the Home Breweries and Vale public house traffic lights. Woodthorpe Hospital is the second turning on the left (Egerton Road).

From A1 South - From the A1 South leave at Grantham following the A52 to Bingham. Turn right on the A6097 through Lowdham to Oxton, Turning left on to the B6386 to join the A614 just before the roundabout with the A60. Then follow the A60 south bound to Arnold and Daybrook. Woodthorpe Hospital is the second turning on the left after the Vale public house traffic lights. (Egerton Road)

Visiting Hours

We welcome visitors between the hours of 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. We do ask that you be considerate to others in the hospital. Lots of noise and many people can be very distressing to some patients. Please respect their need for rest and privacy. Children are very welcome but they must be supervised by an adult at all times.

It presents our achievements in terms of clinical excellence, effectiveness, safety and patient experience and demonstrates that our managers, clinicians and staff are all committed to providing continuous, evidence based, quality care to those people we treat. It will also show that we regularly scrutinise every service we provide with a view to improving it and ensuring that our patient’s treatment outcomes are the best they can be. It will give a balanced view of what we are good at and what we need to improve on.
