  • I couldn’t have asked for better care during my first ever surgery. I was understandably nervous, especially as I was on my own, but every member of staff was so caring, compassionate, and reassuring from start to finish. The nurses went above and beyond to make sure I was okay. They regularly checked on me, took the time to sit and chat with me, and made me feel comfortable and supported throughout the whole experience. As a young woman having surgery for the first time, their kindness meant so much and really helped ease my anxiety. A special thank you to my two nurses, Kayleigh watt and Michelle who were absolutely amazing. They treated me with such kindness, patience, and genuine care. I honestly can’t thank them enough for making what was a scary experience feel so much less overwhelming. They are a real credit to the hospital and I will always be grateful for the care they gave me.

  • I underwent spinal surgery in May 2026. From the first visit to the hospital for my consultation to my operation everything went smoothly, each step was explained throughly and all the staff I encountered; Doctors, Nurses, Receptionists etc. were all friendly and welcoming. Any questions I had were answered. On the day of my operation I received outstanding care, I didn’t feel as nervous as I had when I had a different operation at another hospital. Everyone looked after me really well. Aftercare has been outstanding too, I would recommend this hospital to everyone.

  • I have just been discharged from the Woodthorpe after a 2 night stay following NHS surgery. I cannot recommend the hospital highly enough. It was spotlessly clean, with exceptional care from all of the staff and it really was like staying in a hotel. I feel very lucky to have undergone a traumatic experience in such a lovely place, with such good care..thank you to all of the staff!

  • An excellent service from Woodthorpe Hospital. I went in for my first ever operation and truth be told I was rather apprehensive. I received a left hip replacement by Mr Badhe. From the moment I arrived I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist who was very polite. The medical team were all professional, conscientious and considerate and explained everything to me, listened to me and never made me feel rushed or concerned. A very positive experience. A special mention to the whole nursing team, especially Francesca, who was fantastic. A big thank you to everyone at Woodthorpe for looking after me. I would definitely recommend your services to others.

  • Facilities at Woodhouse are quite good. The staff are very polite and understanding. Today was my third visit within 3 months. Hoping to have my left eye cataract removed there soon.
