Excellent care and treatment at each of my visits. Mr Karuppiah was very friendly and helpful, explaining my problem and how it could be sorted. The two nurses who I saw each time, Chris and Elizabeth, were both very friendly and chatty. The chap I saw who prepared me for the operation, Steve, was also very friendly and helped me relax. I would give the hospital full marks for my treatment and aftercare.

I had a wonderful experience at Woodthorpe hospital yesterday for my knee surgery. Everyone from the receptionist to the physio, to the doctor and anaesthetist were great especially nurse Raymond who took care of me. Thank you very much.

I recently stayed at Woodthorpe Hospital, Nottingham for a total hip replacement and cannot recommend them highly enough. From the initial consultation to the theatre team and post-op care, every single member of staff was professional, empathetic, and attentive. The facility was spotless, and having a private room made my recovery so comfortable. A huge thank you to Mr Niten Badhe and the nursing team for looking after me so well!

Had my 1st hip replacement 8.5 months ago my 2nd hip replacement 9 days ago I can not thank Mr Hatton & his team enough the whole experience was excellent from the start all of the staff are very friendly professional & caring nothing was too much trouble & lots of cups of tea thank you all.

Total knee replacement From the very first meeting with Mr Nitin Badhe to my discharge yesterday (11 Dec '25) the word excellent seems inadequate. Pre op with Carla. The operation itself with a fantastic team of anaesthetists, Mr Badhe's dedicated team and the caring staff in the recovery room. Then onto the ward with the absolutely amazing Nurse Gen and the day shift team. Nurse Kelly and the night shift staff. Special mention to the catering department and the excellent food and wonderful service 👍 Not forgetting anyone else involved in my treatment at Woodthorpe. Thank you all so much ❤️ xx Second knee replacement. 31 May '26 Once again everyone involved was amazing. I'd like to thank again everyone in Mr N Badhe's operating team, anaesthetists, recovery and everyone connected to the ward who i came into contact. Big shout out to the catering department, excellent yet again. Been a harder journey this time, back at Woodthorpe 2 days after discharge for a re dressing ( section of wound bleeding, thank you Chris👍) First physio today, 17th June, Getting easier by the day. Thank you all ♥️

Review An excellent service from Woodthorpe Hospital. I went in for my first ever operation and truth be told I was rather apprehensive. From the moment I arrived I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist who was very polite. The medical team were all professional, conscientious and considerate and explained everything to me, listened to me and never made me feel rushed or concerned. I never felt worried in the slightest. The facilities were spotlessly clean. And there was a serene atmosphere throughout the hospital. A very positive experience. Thank you for looking after me team. I would definitely recommend your services to others. Special shout out to my Consultant, Edward Alabraba, his Anaesthetist who explained exactly what he was doing at all times, nurses Paula and Denise, the young man who escorted me to theatre and sat with me whilst I waited for the Anaesthetist and made me feel very much at ease and Agnes and Herman in recovery who watched over me. Oh, and the catering lady who took my sandwich order, I was certainly ready for a sandwich and cuppa after the op.
