I had a total hip replacement done by Mr Nitin Badhe in January 2026, on a day when the hospital was incredibly busy. (I was told it was due to a previous problem with the heating which meant some patients had been delayed and then added on the day I was due for my surgery). Despite the much larger volume of patients, all the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Not only clinical staff, but reception, catering, and everyone I interacted with. I especially appreciated the way the anaesthetist explained everything step-by-step and checked in on me during the surgery (which was with spinal anaesthetic). Also, the physiotherapist, Dimple, who patiently answered my many questions. I encountered some problems after returning home and when I phoned the ward, it was reassuring to speak with someone who listened and gave helpful advice, so I felt the support continued even after leaving hospital. Overall, my experience was very positive and I would like to thank all the staff at Woodthorpe Hospital who took such good care of me.

I had a hip replacement at the woodthorpe hospital recently .I have been very pleased with all aspects of the service .All of the questions I had were answered fully .The facilities were excellent the staff were fantastic .The pain was kept to an absolute minimum and I was very comfortable throughout my stay .So far the outpatient care has also been great .Overall I would highly recommend the Woodthorpe hospital

I’ve just had a spine operation at wood Thorpe hospital. Everything was so well organised,staff were pleasant and helpful and the place is scrupulously clean. I would highly recommend this hospital.

The service and medical attention was everything you would hope it might be and the staff although obviously busy were fantastic. My only gripe is that I was left waiting sitting on plastic chairs in reception for 6 hours which was literally a pain

I had a full knee replacement in jan and from the minute i walked thru the doors i felt calm and relaxed..the surgeons and their team was wonderful and all the caring staff on my recovery in my own private room was wonderful and met my needs giving me 24 hr care .excellant place

Been just over a week since my hip replacement....all good. In a newly refurbished room where the care and attention was outstanding. Food was excellent and staff were keen to respond to all requests. Still recovering so not able to comment fully on Dr Hatton's handiwork....but so far so good!

Got a phone call on the way home after being told the MRI would be scheduled within a few days by Nitin, only to ask me to come back if I have the time to get it done the same day. Excellent service, super friendly the team that conducted the MRI

I have just been in Woodthorpe Hospital for knee replacement surgery. The staff and nurses were amazing a really looked after me. They explained everything to me and made sure I had everything I needed. The rooms were comfortable and very clean and had plenty of space. I would recommend the Woodthorpe Hospital and the staff especially the team working in Ward one who were amazing. Many thanks to Ray for his care & support and to all the other nurses, HCAs and the catering staff.

Just had a gallbladder surgery on Wednesday 11th Feb 2026 , can not fault my experience and level of care was superb, private room was lovely and attentiveness of the hospital staff was second to none, also Danny the nurse that was assigned to me was brilliant and made me laugh all the way , so it's a 5 stars from me , thanks again for all your help at The Woodthorpe Hospital Team
