Mr Nick Kenefick is a Consultant General Surgeon in Torquay, Devon who specialises in colorectal treatment.
Mr Kenefick is a consultant colorectal surgeon at Torbay Hospital and Mount Stuart Hospital. His main clinical interests are laparoscopic colorectal surgery, robotic colorectal surgery, pelvic floor surgery and pelvic floor dysfunction.
Mr Kenefick qualified with first class degrees from Cambridge University and Cambridge Clinical Medical School in 1995. He performed his surgical training in London and the South West and received a Hunterian Professorship in 2004 for his research and the Noble prize from Cambridge University for his thesis in pelvic floor dysfunction and the PATEY prize from The Royal College of Surgeons.
He has then been trained in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and was appointed as a National Trainer for laparoscopic surgery in 2010 on the LAPCO fellowship program. He obtained FRCS in 2006 and took up the post of Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Torbay Hospital in 2007.
