I cannot praise the Duchy highly enough. I have been treated there a few times, and I have just had a spigelian hernia (I hadn't heard of it either!) repaired; whilst relatively straightforward, I have an unrelated cancer and I felt hugely reassured by their approach. The care I received was second to none; from the welcome and being shown into a lovely private room, to the nursing care from Poppy and Chloe and the afternoon/evening nurses, whose names I didn't catch (as was post-op!), the excellent and considerate anaesthetist and his team, and the superb surgeon, Dr May, whose assistant was so helpful and efficient in arranging the operation so speedily. All this, and the most delicious egg mayo sandwiches and tea ever! The Duchy is an incredibly friendly, caring, expert, clean and efficient hospital - thank you !

Recently had treatment for sciatica at the Duchy including specialist consultation MRI scan and day patient surgery. Everything in the hospital was spotlessly clean, the imaging centre recently built was excellent and I had my scan 3 days after the request from my consultant. All other aspects of my treatment were exceptional including help and guidance for my treatment, my care on the day and the discharge advice given. Ramsey has invested heavily into this hospital. Would highly recommend.

I recently had a minor operation at Duchy hospital. I cannot praise the quality of care enough. All the surgeons, doctors, nurses and reception staff were excellent. Those behind the scenes which I never met also deserve praise. No one likes going into hospital but Duchy made it as good an experience as one could hope for. Highly recommended.
