My healthcare provider booked an appointment for me at the Oaklands Hospital. I was satisfied with their services. The doctor and the staff were nice and the waiting rooms were clean and tidy.

The medical experience could not be faulted. The one disappointment came when paying. I was self funding but I can claim half the fee back from Simply Health. However they require a formal receipt stating clearly I was the patient, who I saw and what treatment I was given. A credit card receipt is not sufficient or accepted by Simply Health. I have to now contact the business department and hope they can provide me with what I need. I find it very surprising that a private hospital cannot provide this particularly when my dentist, optician and even my wife's chiropodist have no problem providing a receipt detailing all the information needed to make a claim not just a credit card receipt which just verifies someone who has paid the Oaklands a certain amount of money! I cannot be the only patient who can claim at least part of the fee if I can provide full details of what I am claiming for as well as confirming I was the patient. Very disappointing that my visit ended with this issue.

I attended as an NHS patient for a DEXA bone scan. No time wasting, very professional and friendly staff throughout the time I was there. The radiologist was amazing, professional and calming! She spent time explaining the procedure and outcome in a way anyone would understand. A very positive experience.

Excellent, Was explained about procedure. Talked to me as a patient not at me. Asked me if I understood what the Doctor was doing. Nurse friendly not just helping Doctor but to me also. Highly recommend this hospital as to waiting on NHS list.
