Had an operation on Oaklands Hospital, the day staff were so much friendlier and pleasant than the night staff, one night nurse gave me 120mg of codeine, which was the incorrect dose. The day staff were great, but a little more communication is required, I was left a syringe of paracetamol, but no-one explained what it was.

Communication between reception down stairs poor regarding being asked to go for an x-ray before you see the Consultant. An hour and quarter was wasted before reception upstairs figured out I needed an x-ray. They were very apologetic and got me seen right away. My second visit to see the consultant I registered at reception down stairs but if it wasn't for the fact it was my second appointment I asked if I needed to go for an x-ray before I see the Consultant, I would have been sent to sit down in the waiting room.

What I would’ve expected from a private Hospital who is taking on NHS work, and doing a good job of tackling waiting lists. My only concern is my wait or four months I’m suffering with trigger finger and two fingers in my left hand so it leaves me unable to do everyday jobs and also look after my elderly mother to which I am sole carer.

The hospital is clean, tidy and well maintained. The staff is friendly, supportive and very competent. Overall a very good experience even in the circumstances of a health issue
