Lovely clean friendly hospital with fabulous staff

I would appreciate it if this positive review could be passed onto the wonderful team at Oaklands Hospital. I had surgery 5 weeks ago and was made to feel at ease by the following staff: Mr Almerie (Consultant) - excellent care from start to finish, keeping me informed, along with the whole Upper GI team. Relaxed manner, whilst still maintaining required detail. Ashley (Assistant Nurse) - attentive and made me feel at ease post surgery. Happy to help me in whatever way possible. Aileen (Nurse) - ensured I was discharged ahead of schedule, with good detailed information and follow up advice. Karen (Sister Nurse) - Lovely person, running a good team on the ward. Overall, the hospital was very clean and comfortable. Every member of staff from receptionist to surgeon was great and had my best interests at heart.

I had my bunion op last August as an Orthopedic day patient under the care of Mr Majeed. I have had to remain longer than usual due to bone not fusing as it should. I have not been quickly discharged and physio had to be put on hold but back now. The team from Receptionist, Radiologist, Consultant, Nurse who sorted dressing/stitches following op, and now Physio I could not rate highly enough. All the staff been lovely and caring. Nothing feels rushed and you really feel cared for. Thank you All

I had surgery at Oaklands Hospital and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Every single member of staff was so kind and caring. The nurses were fantastic, and the healthcare workers who came when I pressed the buzzer were always quick to help and very reassuring. The doctor who checked on me was lovely, and the student nurses were great too. Even the lady who brought tea and broth was so kind and thoughtful. My surgeon also popped in before I went home to check on me and see how I was feeling, which I really appreciated. The anaesthetist spoke with me the next day while I was walking around and encouraged me, which meant a lot. Overall, everyone made me feel really well looked after. It’s such a friendly and caring place, and I feel very lucky to have had my surgery there.

Attended 20/2/26 for a gastric sleeve. Cannot fault the care given by all the team at Oaklands! From the 121 phone calls from my Anisthatist (Johnathan) and Surgeon (Mr Grocock) prior to surgery to the final meeting the day I was discharged (less than 24hrs later) EVERYTHING was absolutely seemless! I cannot thank the nursing team enough for looking after me also following my procedure. I’m now looking forward to a healthier, happier future! Many thanks! Catherine MacMillan 😁

I was recently treated for a surgical procedure at Oaklands Hospital by Dr H Maxwell, and I genuinely cannot fault the care I received from start to finish. Both he and the entire hospital team were exceptional. From my very first consultation through to the aftercare, I was put completely at ease - especially important as this was my first ever surgery. I’m incredibly grateful for the kindness, and reassurance I received throughout the whole process. Thank you. I would definitely recommend Oaklands.

I recently had surgery with Mr Iqbal at Oaklands. All of the staff were super friendly, from when I first walked into the reception for my initial appointment. I had an ultrasound scan in radiology where the HCA was brilliant along with the Consultant doing the scan. I had an OGD in the endoscopy unit, where all the staff were so professional, friendly and made me feel at ease as I was very anxious. I had my pre-op assessment where the Nurse and HCA were thorough and friendly. The day of my procedure, the ward staff were just amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Theatre staff and recovery staff were super reassuring. Catering staff and housekeeping staff are so friendly too. I couldn't fault a single thing. The hospital is spotless. The staff are friendly and professional, and you are treated with respect. It's exactly how hospital care should be and I can't thank everyone enough.

I have been really impressed with Oaklands, every single visit, every staff member has been friendly, welcoming and caring. The facilities are clean and comfortable, it made my surgery experience so much easier to deal with. I'd highly recommend Oaklands Hospital.

Had the mini bypass under the care of Mr Sultan, I'm so impressed by the care given to me from start to finish . Mr Sultan explained everything he was doing and the outcome he expected from surgery . Staff are amazing from the nurses who took excellent care of me and the anesthitist who put me at some much ease before and during my operation.. I'm so happy I had my surgery at oaklands I couldn't of wished for better .

I recently had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Tamas Kustos at Oaklands Hospital for my ACL reconstruction and meniscectomy. I couldn't be happier with the experience! Dr. Kustos is an exceptional surgeon with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. His professionalism, attention to detail, and compassionate care put me at ease throughout the entire process. From the initial consultation to the post-op follow-ups, Dr. Kustos was always available to answer my questions and address my concerns. The surgery was a breeze, and I'm amazed at how quickly I've recovered. The entire team at Oaklands Hospital was fantastic, and I'd highly recommend Dr. Kustos to anyone needing orthopedic surgery. Five stars isn't enough - I'd give him ten stars if I could! 🙌

I had my operation done 24/11/2025, from meeting Mr Majeed Haroon and his staff, I was made to feel nothing was too much trouble, before the operation and after I was very well looked after, Tom was my nurse while I was in and he was fantastic, I'm an NHS patient and I felt I mattered to them. Thankyou Oaklands for all you did for me.
