  • Kind and caring people. First surgery I’ve had and I was definitely very scared. I was treated with dignity, kindness and patience throughout the entire process. The receptionist was excellent when I phoned, as I’d worked myself up about the procedure. The consultant Qutayba Almerie was brilliant, took the time to meet with me again to talk me though everything and calm me down before. Everyone on the day was brilliant also. I would like to say thank you specifically to the lady who collected me from my room for surgery, I believe her name was Ellen, she was so kind and understanding. She comforted me all the way down and until I was put under the anaesthetic, honestly think I would have done a runner If it wasn’t for her. Surgery Is definitely not something I wanted, nor do I ever want it again, but you all made the experience as good as it could have been and if I ever do need it again, I hope it’s at this hospital.   • Fantastic experience from start to finish. The level of care, support, and professionalism throughout my journey was outstanding. I had a gastric sleeve procedure, and the entire team made me feel comfortable, informed, and well looked after every step of the way. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone considering weight loss surgery. Thank you for making the whole process such a positive experience.

  • Absolute pleasure to be treated at this hospital. I was referred by GP over osteoarthritis in my knee 2 years ago. From being greeted by the lovely reception staff to meeting Dr Shah my treatment has been 10/10. Just had my first knee replacement the Care from the nurses and PTs were amazing. Thanks again :-)

  • I attended yesterday for an MRI scan of my small bowel. I was very nervous due to personal circumstances. However, as soon as I arrived I was met with care, compassion, laughter and friendly staff. Huge thanks to Ronnie on reception who was very caring and the OPS manager who assured me my results would be back in time for my next appointment. Finally but most thankfully goes to Akeel and Junaid in the radiology department who were amazing. They were so patient, kind, reassuring and checked on me throughout the scan. I am no longer scared of MRI scans. Thanks to each and everyone of you. Sending you my best wishes.

  • I had ACL/MCL surgery yesterday at Oaklands. The staff made what was a stressful experience as stress-free as possible. From the nurses (shout out Lily) and appointment team (shout out Sam) to surgeon Jill, everyone was excellent and I felt very well looked after from start to finish. I would appreciate it if this message could be passed on to the ward team as I can’t remember all names - everyone I spoke to was attentive, kind and a calming influence. Thank you for all your help!

  • My experience of the Oakland hospital was first class.I cannot fault any department from my consultant Mr.Gill to cleaning staff when I had my knee replacement last May.The aftercare was excellent and follow up appointments always ran smoothly.I was also offered a rehab class as extra physio which I took advantage of.Would highly recommend.

  • I had an excellent experience at Oaklands Hospital From start to finish, the level of care and professionalism was outstanding. A mention has to go to Cameron in Pre-Op, who is an absolute delight. He has such a calm and reassuring manner that immediately puts you at ease, which makes all the difference. He’s a real credit to the hospital, especially as such a young gentleman. His professionalism and kindness stands out. Ludsy in Pre-Op was also fantastic. She was, attentive, and incredibly supportive throughout. You can tell she genuinely cares about patients and takes pride in her work. All of the ward staff deserve recognition as well. Every interaction I had was positive. The team is efficient, friendly, and provides the best care. Thanks to everyone at Oaklands Hospital for making the experience so smooth and reassuring.

  • I had a knee replacement at Oaklands on Tuesday the 21st of April. The best hospital experience possible. The operation went really well. The staff were great. The room and food were fantastic. They couldn’t do enough for me. Something that I usually have a problem with is foreign staff’s accent due to having hearing aids. It wasn’t a problem as I could understand all that was said.
