Reception 10/10, Nurses taking your blood, etc to looking after you after your operation 10/10, X - Ray Dept 10/10, Cleaners 10/10, Catering Ladies and Chef 10/10, Physio 10/10, and then my chosen Doctor 10/10. I had the absolute best experience under the care of Mr J Refson for my recent incisional hernia operation. From my first consult with him, I was kept well informed, supported and safe. His PA, Deborah, guided me through it all and I’m really grateful for that! My anaesthetist was Dr Raine, and I had an absolutely painless spinal and very pleasant experience being put under. My recovery was super smooth as well, and he and Mr Refson managed my type 1 diabetes with ease! I’d also like to that George and Judith (from theatres) and my nurse Julie for taking such incredible care of me. Julie went above and beyond for me on multiple occasions! I know I’m missing people from my review, and I’m so sorry for that! I want to give my utmost thanks to the whole team. I’m 3 weeks post op, and my recovery is going so well, particularly as a new mum! It’s because of the level of care I received from the team. My husband, daughter and I are all really grateful!

All areas of the hospital were clean. My room was very comfortable and the food I was served was very nice. Everyone was very kind and friendly. The physio played a part in my stay and they were wonderful.

I attended my appointment with the consultant today and was very happy with our discussion about my new knee (the slight swelling and numbness on the left side of the knee and not being able to kneel down on the knee) - he explained everything about the procedure I had, and after examining my new knee we were both very happy with the outcome.

Dr Chakravarti is incredible. Reception staff were ok but unable to fulfil the doctors request to make a further appt with another member of staff. I was told to ask in the Private Patients office where that member of staff seemed disinterested and unfriendly. I was given an email address that turned out to be incorrect and I had to make lengthy phone calls to eventually make the appointment I needed. Med secretary, reservations staff on the phone, outpatients nurses were all very good. The hospital itself is a little tired looking but again. all of this paled into insignificance thanks to Dr Chakravarti. I can't thank him enough.
