Academic Background
Having developed an interest in Reproductive Medicine even before qualifying, Virginia Beckett trained in renowned units in London, including University College, St. Mary's, The Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte's Hospitals. She moved to Yorkshire for the end of her training and was appointed as Consultant in Bradford in 2003, where she ran the satellite IVF unit for many years and oversaw the move to Orbit Fertility at The Yorkshire Clinic. She is clinical lead for Reproductive Medicine at Bradford Teaching Hospitals. Having delivered menopause care even when it was less favoured than now, Dr Beckett is delighted to offer Menopause consultations. She offers extended, 45 minute appointments and has a bespoke, holistic approach. Dr Beckett has many years' experience in managing PCOS and all causes of infertility and can offer initial investigations for couples with conception delay, or those wishing to optimise their health before they conceive. Having also specialised in Maternal Medicine, Dr Beckett is keen to ensure that couples achieve the most successful pregnancy possible. Telephone consultations are available but Dr Beckett recommends an initial face to appointment for the best experience.
