Derek, a recent patient under the care of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr. Neil Hunt, underwent a knee arthroscopy and was so impressed by his experience that he felt compelled to write to us the very next day.

Derek’s journey with us by referral from his local GP surgery. Despite not choosing Clifton Park Hospital himself, he describes his experience as outstanding from start to finish.
“I didn’t actually choose Clifton Park but was just lucky enough that my local surgery referred me to Clifton Park Hospital for the initial consultation.”
What stood out most to Derek was the warm, attentive and personal approach shown by everyone involved in his care, from the reception team to the surgical staff, recovery nurses, and even the team maintaining our facilities.
“The whole team at Clifton Park Hospital should be so proud of the professionalism and friendly manner they show, they made me feel as though I was your only patient of the day — which is some achievement when I know they busy you are.”
He also gave special mention to Ward Sister, Alison - whose clarity and reassurance made a lasting impact.
“If I had to nominate one person, however, it would be Alison, who explained everything pre- and post-operation so well and thoroughly.”
