Everyone one that I spoke to was extremely kind and patient with me. It was probably obvious that I was nervous and then combined with the sedative turned me into a chattering wreck! Despite this I was handled with kid gloves, even though I couldn’t stop talking, apologies! The only negative was the receptionist when I first arrived, who didn’t crack a smile and seemed quite serious which was not what I needed at that time. My nerves were already frayed and this seemingly innocuous encounter didn’t help to calm them.

Can't fault dr Kahn, to the point, easy to understand and friendly. Left feeling very positive so can't say much more than that. The lovely lady who saw me at the desk was also great. Really liked her.

Fantastic experience

I had been plagued with Carpel Tunnel pains for over 3 decades. It started small, but in the last 2 years it became such a problem, I had to seek medical intervention to relieve the pressure. The operation proposed was Carpel Tunnel Decompression Surgery. I was eventually referred to Blakelands Hospital and within 2 weeks of seeing a consultant in the middle of June 26, I was in the hospital for the surgery, which took all of 10 minutes. The feeling of relief was almost immediate, and for that I will be grateful to the staff who cared for me during my visits and the surgeon who performed the, what can only be called, life changing surgery. The operation was at the end of July, and a month later I am almost fully recovered. When looking at my hand, you be hard pressed to see that I had any surgery at all. So thank you to the people working at the Blakelands Hospital, you helped me feel normal again.

My Sigmoidoscopy experience was truly positive. I appreciated the digital communication and phone call reminders that kept me informed before the procedure. The reception area was spotless and inviting, where I was warmly greeted and made to feel welcomed. The nursing team, especially Nurse Dawn and Joan, was outstanding, providing excellent care and attentiveness. Throughout the process, I was treated with privacy and respect. I arrived feeling very sleepy and exhausted, even falling asleep in the waiting area after a restless night of frequent trips to the bathroom. The facility was impeccably clean and comfortable. Dr. Farid Houssain and his team performed the procedure with great expertise, ensuring I was comfortable and fully informed both beforehand and afterward. They carefully assessed my individual needs and circumstances. After the procedure, I spent some relaxing moments in the recovery bay, enjoying a cup of tea and biscuits that helped me feel much better. I only wish they had a soothing fruit tea, like peppermint, to settle my stomach. The department ran like a well-oiled machine—organized and efficient. I was able to go home shortly afterward, which allowed me to continue my recovery comfortably. Since I live nearby, I was lucky enough to walk back home. Only a minor procedure, in and out in 2 hours 17/08/26. Couldn't fault them, wasn't left hanging about, taken in within 5 minutes of registering at reception. All staff, friendly, helpful and most importantly, efficient. Hopefully no need to return, but if that need arises, I would definitely use again.

My experience at Blakelands Hospital was excellent. From referral to operation was very quick. The communication was excelent, the receptionists and nursing staff very friendly, efficient and caring. The whole process was a great example of the NHS/private hospital working together to provide a great care service.

Great experiane. I was in and out in just over two hours. I was provided pain killers but they weren't needed. The piano reached a manable level quickly.
