Great hospital to get great treatment. Lovely staff and consultants. UPDATE: 23/07/26 I wish I had never left this hospital for my treatment. I had to go elsewhere due to moving home but I should have taken the decision to travel back to Fitzwilliam each time treatment was required. Dr Mohammad Malik - can I come back PLEASE!

From the first interaction with the fitzwilliam hospital right up to my latest appointment which was this very week, the staff from reception to the physios, nurses and specialists the treatment was first class. Very friendly, caring and helpful. It all felt genuine too and not just a job to these people. A great environment to undergo any treatment. I’m a fussy bugger too so for me to be saying these things for me is a big deal.

Very efficient and friendly visit. No waiting at all. Car parking is a little limited. Had to park on the street outside the hospital

Unfortunately I had to wait a considerable time for surgery. This was due to the hold on NHS surgeries by the government and not The Fitzwilliam. This aside I was treated with care and respect.

The actual surgery and face to face side of my visits were fine as always, but the wait time for surgery was extremely long and led to much frustration over the course of the year I had to wait despite being told by numerous surgeons that surgery was indeed needed. I asked to be added to a cancellation list which was agreed to, only to later on be told I wouldn't be placed on the list until I had a surgery date. This was confusing and frustrating. Eventually I was given a cancellation appointment which surprised me but at least it was a positive. It was just a shame about the confusion. The personnel at the hospital during my visits have been great however.
