Operating Theatres

Fitzwilliam Hospital has a modern theatre complex comprising of five operating theatres equipped for a wide range of surgery including minimal access procedures. They are available for routine and emergency surgery and have 24-hour cover.

Wards

Fitzwilliam Hospital has 47 en-suite rooms, digital televisions and telephones.

We have dedicated, highly qualified staff experienced in a wide range of specialities. Prior to admission into hospital, patients will be advised how they can help prevent infection and if required, be screened for MRSA via the Pre-operative Assessment Service.

Cleanliness and preventing infection is a key part of delivering good clinical care and at Fitzwilliam Hospital we start with the basics. We ensure our housekeeping staff are well trained and have the best tools for the job to ensure patient rooms and all areas of our hospital are clean and dust free and this is personally overseen by our Ward Manager and Support Services Manager.
