Visiting hours

Our ongoing commitment to quality, patient safety and clinical care remains our top priority.

Patients are able to receive visitors at Rivers Hospital between 3pm and 8pm. As patients may be undergoing treatment relating to their care, visitors may be asked to wait in the patient lounge during this time.

Visitors should report to Reception on arrival and subsequently inform ward reception of their presence. Access outside of the hours of 3pm - 8pm is via intercom at the main entrance.

We do ask that visitors are considerate to others in the hospital. Lots of noise and groups of people can cause upset for some patients and we request visitors respect the need for rest and privacy at all times. Children are very welcome but they must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Visitors should not sit on the hospital beds in order to assist with infection control and prevention. If chairs are required in the bedrooms please speak to a member of staff who will be happy to help.
