Our accommodation

We have a range of accommodation including:

Nurse Call button

Should you require any assistance please do not hesitate to call the nursing staff via the nurse call button located in the bedside handset. Our staff will endeavour to answer the call as quickly as possible.

Meals

All meals are cooked fresh on site and our meal service provides a wide variety of choice. You will be given a menu daily from which to make your selection.

We can offer our visitors the option to eat in our restaurant or to purchase drinks and snacks for the vending machine.

At weekends and after 5.30pm there is a limited menu available of hot and cold foods. Please ask the ward hostesses or the nursing staff to provide this for you or see the patient information folder in the rooms.

Parking

Free hospital car parking including disabled parking bays are available close to the hospital however it can get very busy at peak times.

Personal laundry

The hospital has no facilities to launder personal items.

Pharmacy

We have an on site pharmacy open from 9-6 open from Monday to Friday and Saturdays from 9-12.30pm. Take home medication is arranged on an individual basis plus we can offer a non-prescription over the counter purchase of medications service.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted within the hospital or the hospital grounds at any time.

Telephones

Telephones are provided at the bedside of each patient and are direct-dial for local STD ISD calls. You are permitted to use a mobile phone within your bedroom only; they MUST NOT be used in public areas due to the risk of them interfering with sensitive equipment.

Television

Digital televisions are provided free-of-charge.

Visiting hours

We request that the following hours be observed: 9.00am to 9.00pm. Rest is an important part of recovery from illness or an operation and whilst it is nice for patients to see their visitors please do not feel that you have to visit your loved one for hours at a time, as this can mean that they are prevented from sleeping which is good for their recovery.

We do ask that you be considerate to others in the hospital. Lots of noise and many people can be very distressing to some patients. Please respect their need for rest and privacy. Children are very welcome but they must be supervised by an adult at all times and should not be allowed to shout and run around as this disturbs other patients and risks injury to them and any recovering patients that they may collide with.
